Most certainly not old, in any sense of the word.

This is to me completely wrong, and the fact that there are adults willing to quite literally exploit them and a nation not wanting to stand up against it.

16 maybe for normal moddling but at 12 how are you even meant to know that you are being objectified?

They can not be mature enough to realise what is going on really.

Japan really does amaze me sometimes, so foreward in so many things but in the parts I personally consider very important in a nations mentality it is far far behind.

Go to google images, type in any word and you get a whole bunch of junk. Unless you can read it, that word could mean anything. Google returning boobies when looking for something mundane isnt uncommon.

As an example, seraching for buxom, if this is her, im hitting that right now

I did not say I agreed with them either, but its not on the same scale as this though, as it is not basically viewed as a type of pornography.

The fact you can buy DVDs of them posing in very little raises eyebrows with me.

It's always difficult when you foist your own society's mores and values on to another's.

We find it disturbing and distasteful, as might most occidental cultures (except for Eastern Europe).

But then, oriental cultures find our treatment of the elderly to be unforgiveable despicable. A appropriate counterpoint, I feel, to our disgust of the way they view the young.

It is still the objectification of a young girl’s image for the financial reward of her parents. It is not a great leap from one to the other. Quite arguably, a DVD of a child beauty pageant is equivalent to this sort of thing. The Western world is far from perfect. On Japan, (says Wikipedia) child erotica was legal until 1999, when it became illegal following the passing of Protecting Children Online law (under pressure from the USA).

This sort of thing is unpleasant whatever form it takes.

It is, parents brought you up, support you and then the kids leave and put them in a home and basically let them rot. My grandmother lives with my uncle, she used to live with us. My dad and uncle will never ever put her in a home, it's not even up for debate.

But back on topic, even thou the Japanese likes young girls. I think anyone with a brain can see the difference between young girls and children !

Define 'young girls' and 'children' - those terms mean different things to different people.

This model has the physical attributes of a woman, yet she is 12 years old - so what label should we attach to her :)
