Isn't low conviction rate, purly down to how well grounded are legal system is. Ie you need. Evidence and in most cases there's is a sever lack of evidence it's a he says she said moment. I can't see how you can get around that with out breaking the legal system and I think this is why little has changed. However protection for false claims is far easier to change without braking the legal system(as wel as murders etc, protect people like Chris Jeffries).

No I don't think there is any real evidence of it but the issue is that the "grey area" always favours the accused as I said in an earlier post I would hate to be on a jury doing a case like that.
 
But our laws, means if in doubt you can't convict so any law always flavours teh accused when there's doubt or are you on about something else.
I haven't followed the thread.

Jimmy's whole attitude towards Gary Glitter speaks volumes for me, nobody who isn't connected to this warped, depraved world could ever act in defence of it or someone who has partaken of it.

Total and utter disregard for the victims, to the point of psychopathy.

Pretty much just saying it was ok to abuse kids, and watch kids being abused, as he wasn't doing it publicly. Probably what the Marquis de Sade thought was a good defence.
 
BBC news - police are investigating a possible connection between Jeremy Beadle and the current Saville allegations.

A police spokesman said 'he may have had a small hand in it'.
 
It does seems a little bizarre he was allowed to wander the halls of various hospitals alone when not employed their......celebrity or not.

Witness statements say he was given his own set of keys (gold coloured) to go in any room he wanted in broadmore at any time and had his own caravan in the grounds.

Even though his crimes are bad. There is a crime here that is worse.

That of hospital director/manager and the managers/directors of broadmore and of the BBC, that have been complicit in all of this.

Basically they have set these places up for jimmy and obviously others to be fullfill their peado needs and it would not surprise me if these managers/director were peados themselves passing services to who ever they wanted.....in the networks that they operate in.

It does make you wonder if this was all hidden until after his death so that he couldn't take others down with him, just look at the start of this thread the guy was revered until this all broke despite him committing what now seems to be systemic abuse.

Seriously though all this Jimmy Saville is beginning to get on my nerves. People claiming they have lived with the secrete for forty years and upon reflection feel they should have done something about it then? My dog says he was sexually assaulted as well by Jimmy Saville.

1 in 4 women are raped. Hardly any of them come forward because they know they will be treated as scum rather than as rape victims on top of having to deal with the rape instead of doing what most want to do, which is pretend it never happened. Our attitudes towards rape is why the conviction rate is so low.

Lindsay Armstrong committed suicide after she was raped, only after trial because she was forced to hold up her thong underwear that she wore when she was raped. Why was she forced to do this other than to **** shame her for her choice of underwear? (which were worn underneath jeans I should add) She was 17. Her rapist got 4 years. It has been proven that rape is never caused by the clothing worn by the rape victim, so why do people insist on talking about it?

It's because we live in a rape culture, where we blame the victim, joke about it, are friends with rapists and try and accuse people who try and change things as being over sensitive.
