It would apear as though only men are capable of being "rapists" and only women are capable of being "rape victims"

Would there be an uproar if some comedian make a bunch of rape joke set in the theme of a male prison?

"Its not rape if you drop the soap, its an invitiation" or something along those lines

i suspect no women would give a crap even if it were a female comedian making the joke

False, I do not see gender when it comes to this issue. Male rape and sexual assault, be it by a woman or another man is just as bad, and rape culture dismisses it as a rare event, when in reality homosexual rape is often touted as a just punishment in Prison and celebrated as an example, sickening.

So, saying that it's still not proved that he did any of this yet it's being reported as he's a confirmed kiddie fiddler; my question is this: How many people does it take to say one thing to make it true? Where is the cut off?

That's a bloody good question, but there must be a cross-over point somewhere. Hitler (law invoked) was never tried, but he *did* do it.

By that I mean, there must be something other than a court of law that makes you guilty.

i guess you would need two or more sources of evidence - so you would need victims AND witnesses - but i agree its a good question. when literally hundreds of people come forward to possibility that they are making it up or just delusional becomes very small.

I assumed the police were using such definitive language because they had some proof that we weren't privy to or something.

quite worrying if thats not the case.

When the first lot of allegations came out, I thought it would be a bit harsh to remove his decorations, seeing as he is not around to defend himself. After than volume of allegations against him, (not to mention that video!), it's beyond reasonable doubt that he is a dirty old dog, and he should be posthumously stripped of any award he has ever earned.

Benny Hill wouldn't shock me to frank, He always came across as a dirty old man and I'm still astonished that he's considered a comic genius, i thought he was as funny as cancer even as a kid.

I think "shows" like this kind of promoted the atmosphere in which abuse thrived or was seen as acceptable tbh.

I think that ironically once you reach a certain number it actually becomes less believable as one person is only capable of so much.
