Joe Kinnear: It's Official

Meh. Supposedly the rebrand has been in the pipeline for months. Terrible bar anyway, barely anyone went, not when I was at St James' anyway.

Kebab shop now maybe?

I fully agree, Jonas shouldn't have played many games last season. The only positive for him, is that he does what he is told. A true professional.

When the likes of Ben Arfa, Marveaux etc, won't listen to Pards and want to play the game they want to. Which truth be told, is 10x better than Jonas, but they leave us short defensively.

well to be fair if Ben Arfa had Jonas mentality he would not be at Newcastle simple as that. He could play for any of the tops teams

I fully agree, and it's been Pardew's problem all last season. The negative and defensive attitude he has instilled on the players was one of the main causes to our poor season.

We have Carr finding these powerful, exciting attacking players (Cisse, Gouffran, Sissoko etc.) and Pardew doesn't use that style of play. He's very much old fashioned in his ways.

If we did play in a formation/style to our best players skills, then we would be a force to be reckoned with. I watched some of the 12/13 season footage from last year. Our biggest miss from many games was Coloccini. It's been excellent news that he is staying for another season. I hope he stays fit all next season.

Newcastle have literally (as in literally literally, not Jamie Redknapp literally) become a laughing stock, I'm not one to revel in the misfortune of 'random' clubs and I still found myself chuckling incredulously at some of these developments. That Joe Kinnear interview was like a parody of himself :eek::D:confused:

Just as well N'zogbia is no longer at the club or he'd have some sleepless nights ahead of him :(

I demand Joe Kinnear mispronounced footballer photoshops.

Joanne Kebab.
Hat and Ben afro.
Shona amoeba.
Krull
Etc etc.

There is a story printed in one if the papers that this appointment is to try and heal a rift between Carr and pardew as they have been fighting over the players he signed not being good enough.

Pards out Gus Poyet in!!

Might as well

I know, it should be a no brainer to ashley surely. Trust Carr over Pardew!

'Journalists' are printing so much bs at the moment, as with the Kinnear news people will believe that anything can happen. As if the summer transfer window wasn't enough of a headache. I wouldn't put it past Pardew to lay all blame on the players for last season though. He has always been quick to blame others rather than take any responsibility, yet he'll lap up all the praise.

I heard yesterday that he wasn't bothered by the change and that they are calling it Nine's.

All the proceeds of the opening are going to Shearers charity as well.

As to the rift healing, it's like mending a broken bridge by nuking the thing into oblivion, if you want to fix a problem then fix it. Don't bring that muppet in, but ho hum and here we go again :p

I think its a north east thing. Sunderland aren't far behind with Dicanio as their manager. I can see some full on emorage post match interviews coming up this season.......................

Imagine what a post match conference with the press and Kinnear and DiCanio all in the same room would be like. WOuld make Millwall v WestHam look like playground banter...........

Now hey, don't bring us into this, this is all the Newcastle show!

The current rumours are that he's been brought in to stop Pardew and Carr arguing. Pardew is rumoured to not be overly happy with some of the players he's signed on the back of Carr's scouting and Carr think's it's Pardew's tactics and belief in playing players out of position that's the root of the problem.

Well when it comes to the two it is Pards poor implementation of the players as opposed to their quality.

Yup nearly all newcastle fans would prefer to keep Carr at the club than Pards.

World class scout. Worked for spurs and mancity and he a local.

His list if contacts he built over the years you can not replace.

People will come in and go bla bla bla all he does is watch football anyone can do that.

Been meeting players and watching the likes if cabaye since they where teenagers

Carr isn't replaceable either. He's not exactly plucking players from obscurity, the majority of the players who have succeeded at Newcastle were brought in from top division teams, in fact in Cabaye's case, he was the captain of the league winning team and a regular International.

Newcastle's ability to sign quality proven players for a reasonable price is where they made their gains. How much would Cabaye have cost if he was English? £15m? How much was Cabaye? 4? Who's that down to? Ashley. Newcastle fans might love to hate him, but he's turned the finances round of the club and looks to be sorting the background staff out now.

... Like I said in my post he been watching Cabaye for years before he even got into a lille first team. (from when he was 18)

Carr even said he tried to sign him 1 or 2 years before he came to us but the transfer fee was not good value. This was before his first french cap and title winning season. This is direct quotes from the man himself.

imho he is irreplaceable for his knowledge and contacts he has made over his career as scouts for Mancity and spurs.

Top it off he a fan and a former youth team player and local he knows the club and fans inside and out.
