No good clinical data? Maybe against covid, but it's quite a well know drug, and has been used on one or two people before.

I think the fact that the MSM have portrayed it as a horse drug when it's also widely used in humans has actually fed that conspiracy theory,

Never really listened to Rogan until recently, but following this controversy gave him a go and really enjoyed his shows and the guests he gets on.

So, there's no good clinical data to support using the drug to treat covid.....but these people are happy to gulp it down anyway.

Rogan is the classic example of a stupid person's idea of a smart person. Not a huge suprise his fans are a bit dim.

Did you listen to the one where he says he has cut down eating pork by not eating hamburgers anymore and when it was pointed out that hamburgers dont contain pork he said then why are they called HAMburgers. That guy?

As I’m sure others will have said the question we should be asking is why do many have so little faith in mainstream media, pharmaceutical companies and government?

Why are so many People willing to put more faith in Joe Rogan above them? The simple answer is the usual suspects have proven that they can’t be trusted to be open, impartial and honest in the way Joe Rogan appears to be.

IMO for better or worse the pandemic, and the nonsense we’ve been continually spun throughout it, has irreparably destroyed our trust in many established institutions.

i suspect the fallout from it has only just begun.

While there are mistakes or some bias at times its simply not true on the whole. The rise of the conspiracy loon is a cancer on society.

So if this trial at Oxford University shows that it is effective, then people who read the Guardian and BBC news will be hesitant to take it as it's a horse de-wormer, according to them.

It would be amazing if it turned out to be effective, any drug that helps is a bonus. It got seized on like hydroxychloroquine did with no clinical studies to back it up and then some studies that were published had to be withdrawn when it was discovered the data had been manipulated. There were doctors in the US happy to prescribe hydroxychloroquine for covid, money talks there. Drugs should be tested before being hailed as a treatment for covid.

I highly doubt any of the folks that are negative about him have actually listened to the blokes podcast. in fact I'd go so far as to say without googling they'd be unable to say exactly what covid misinformation has caused the latest outrage, instead they are just joining in the bandwagoning and just spouting legacy media garbage.

so ? you have read the open medical professionto spotify letter that summarises his crimes ? seems a trusted source -
and even if I hadn't heard of him before, the concern that children are listening to this BS is sufficient to justify a sense of grievance against spotify

No I've not read the letter, heard about it, but not read the actual thing. Not going to either, personally I don't give 2 ***** about covid 'misinformation' nor people evangelising certain aspects of the thing. I just mask up when it's required to do so and be on about my day otherwise. Never had it, none of my family have had it, don't know anyone that's had it. Guess we're doing something right eh.

I've listened and watched his podcasts when they were on YouTube. Sometimes he's very entertaining and does have some good guests on. He has such a huge audience now and for many they take what they hear on there as gospel. He has a responsibility at this point to his audience. He might on occasion say he's just a comedian and no one should take him seriously but millions do.

As for covid misinformation he had Dr Robert Malone on recently. He claims he invented the the mRNA vaccine, not something backed by any of his ex colleagues or the 1000s of other scientists that have worked on this. Yes he was there at the beginning and did some early research but his claim isn't true, it was a collaboration and he certainly didn't work on the actual vaccines. Why didn't Joe pull him up on this? It matters because it calls in to question everything he says from then on, he is clearly furious he wasn't invited to work on any of the vaccines and at his perceived treatment by his ex employers and so has an agenda. That isn't a good thing in someone giving medical advice and he is someone who has been seized on by the anti vax community, it matters.

Joe very often has such people on his show and he doesn't question them in an adversarial manner or just properly challenge them. He has lots of time to research them and put together questions. This is my biggest issue, he either doesn't care or he lacks the intellect to challenge them, that latter would be fair enough, he's a comedian but he has heavy weights on and gives so many of them a pass and lets them have their say with no serious pushback.

You honestly think that excuses the way he spoke to her? And so much of what he said is just what he says now, its just toned down slightly. That was Joe Rogan, what we see now is just a toned down version for the masses.
