Joe Rogan and Spotify

You need better masks and social distancing discipline.

i work in a hospital and only personally know 5 out of our staff of 35.
I'm more astonished that people have racked up double figure numbers personally, all the virtue signalling that goes on here and on social media and yet people are either getting the original strain or subsequent variants everytime. Either people are full of **** and don't follow guidelines or just lying.

My partner works in a hospital and god knows how many of her staff have had it. Statistics don't lie as well. At this point, omicron has been absolutely rampant for a while and a huge number of people have had it. Not directly knowing anyone who has had COVID is massively unlikely for anyone but a hermit.

Be more specific please.

Simply observe the thread, someone will deny X, and then someone will dig out stats to prove X, then someone will deny those stats and claim they are false.

This then implies that if those stats are to be believed, that the secondary person would then be in the right... Right?

Wrong.

Not following it can’t be hard to lay out the specifics, surely.

Well the proof is in the puddin'
Indeed but isn’t it refreshing to hear someone not only correct himself during podcasts but to also admit he can and does get it wrong from time to time.

Wmd’s Blair and Iraq for some reason spring to mind. Maybe Joe will knighted or it’s American equivalent down the line too.

Not really. It's refreshing when people do it before they get called out, showing some self-awareness. Everyone on the planet gets things wrong from time to time, but that's not really the issue here. You've got a stoned ape who often refers to himself as retarded, who's happy to aggressively challenge certain experts when it suits him (that Opie and Anthony clip, for example) and then refuses to even look into certain claims on Covid and vaccines, just nodding along with whatever the expert of the day is saying.

I'm pretty sure Joe isn't as dumb as he makes out, considering how successful he is in multiple different fields. I bet when he signed the Spotify deal he knew he'd end up in a scenario like this one, but he just rode it out for as long as he could before being forced to make changes. He's always wanted to do the podcast his way without a corporation telling him how to conduct it, however, nobody was turning that Spotify money down.

He's already previously corrected himself though, so it's already been proven

I dare him to do a fact check segment like Dax Shepard does on his own show. I don't think his ego will let him.

No one has heard of Dax Shepard though and Joe Rogan is the biggest podcast in the world, so why would he do that?

So basically you are also describing almost all politicians and the mainstream media. They all get things wrong/lie at every turn.

I mean we have a current serving government that shows far more contempt for covid than Rogan ever has. You guys have been voting for these clowns, they have real license and scoop to cause real problems. Not a podcast personality.

Do you listen to the podcast?

I can think of several occasions where he corrects himself; he has also had various guests with different views on vaccine and public policy.

He is not perfect - but as you say who is….

That's just one part of it. The proof will be when he starts challenging guests more on the points they make and doing more podcasts with two sides of the argument on at the same time or following on from one another.

So what are the actual specifics we are talking about. What did he specifically fail to correct or did he get wrong?

Why would he do that? It's a conversation not a debate. That's what made the podcast successful. It's why guests return and the podcast get's big names come on it, it isn't a hard hitting BBC interview

Why would he do that?

The video he released states that we will do some if not all of that.

We're not talking grilling a guest on every single point here. Just a little more fact checking when quite serious claims are being made that could have consequences.

So first they try to discredit you - Check CNN wink wink.

Then they try to silence you - Check
Neil diamond and the merry virtue signalling men

And then you win… Hmm

Robert malone was already persona non-grata/deprecated (even in OC threads) august last year for covid misinfomation so making an interview with him in 2022, suggests a certain lack of intelligence.

You realise he had Alex Jones on, right?
