Joe Rogan and Spotify

One of Mr Rogan's most controversial guests has been the virologist Robert Malone.

Mr Malone was banned from Twitter in December last year for violating its Covid misinformation policies. He appeared on Mr Rogan's podcast shortly afterwards.

Among the misleading claims made in this podcast episode was one suggesting people who are vaccinated after having Covid-19 are at greater risk of adverse side effects.

Following his appearance, more than 270 doctors and healthcare professionals signed a letter to Spotify, calling for Covid misinformation to be addressed.

Robust studies so far have shown that a very small number of conditions - blood clots, heart inflammation - are slightly more likely after certain vaccines, although are still very rare.

In one UK study, researchers found that vaccine after effects were more common in those who already had Covid.

However, this study only looked at mild after effects, such as fatigue, chills and headaches.

Who is next? True Geordie? They had Russell Brand on recently.... cancel!

Cancel everything, just have 1 channel on 24/hr... just Chris Whitty all day every day. Just skip the covid conversation parts if you get that worried. These podcasters that try and have a varied opinion piece really bother some people, it's almost like people want to be stuck in an echo chamber.

Jordon Peterson has been targeted many times “So what you’re saying is” lol.
Dave Chappell is quite unpopular lol.

Sorry but you people need to get a life what’s wrong with you for gods sake.

It's almost as if we can judge people on a case by case basis instead of chucking names into a hat. Peterson isn't untouchable, funnily enough Joe was quite confrontational with him on a couple of points on their recent episode.

I find Dave Chappelle hilarious and nothing he's done would make me believe he's transphobic. It's also a stretch to say he's quite unpopular, I think the general consensus would be that he's very well liked and supported. The same with Joe really, I certainly don't want to see him cancelled.

Keep up the good fight fella.

McCullough's not wearing a stethoscope I thought all the quacks did ? I assume that videos posted as further mockery of Rogan
... etc etc
The largest nonprofit health system in Texas has secured a temporary restraining order against cardiologist Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, a COVID-19 vaccine skeptic who allegedly continued to claim an affiliation with Baylor Scott & White Health months after he entered into a confidential separation agreement in which he agreed to stop mentioning his prior leadership and academic appointments

Knew of him, listened to that interview he did with Mr Science dumb down, Brian Cox is it.

Gave up after 10mins as I think Rogan is a arse.

Maybe you should stick to your day time television where guests are allowed 1 minute of airtime each

the juxtapostion of modern built for streaming generation songs with front loaded lyrics&melody versus their vinyl/cd prdecessors is similarly interesting,
are these long pod-casts interspersed with adds, and why use lots of words if you can competently summarise a pov in fewer - Tolstoy excepted.

Probably yes. I first came across him on TV like 20 years ago. Then later on UFC and then 5 years ago his podcast.

I only watch his podcasts if I am interested in the guest which is rather rare these days. Since moving to Spotify I have seen around 3.

I much prefer Lex Fridman and his podcast, which funnily enough I came across on Joe’s podcast around 3 years ago

Now there is a man who does have the intellect to not only keep up with guest but challenge them. Joe Rogan is like the guy down the pub who can chat for hours ot anyone and can make you laugh. Lex Friedman interviews you feel like you actually learn something. Sam Harris does great interviews as well.

Not really. It's refreshing when people do it before they get called out, showing some self-awareness. Everyone on the planet gets things wrong from time to time, but that's not really the issue here. You've got a stoned ape who often refers to himself as retarded, who's happy to aggressively challenge certain experts when it suits him (that Opie and Anthony clip, for example) and then refuses to even look into certain claims on Covid and vaccines, just nodding along with whatever the expert of the day is saying.

I'm pretty sure Joe isn't as dumb as he makes out, considering how successful he is in multiple different fields. I bet when he signed the Spotify deal he knew he'd end up in a scenario like this one, but he just rode it out for as long as he could before being forced to make changes. He's always wanted to do the podcast his way without a corporation telling him how to conduct it, however, nobody was turning that Spotify money down.

He recently had a doctor on (can't remember her name) and he was talking about the vaccines causing myocarditis in young people. She pointed out that you are 8 times more likely to get myocarditis from covid than you are from the vaccine if you are young. He wouldn't have it, his researcher found some papers on it that showed the doctor was correct, he still wasn't happy and said that wasn't what he had read. He has an agenda and when someone goes against it he doesn't like it, when someone goes with it he never challenges them.

Someone for everyone then :D.
