Joe Rogan and Spotify

We all do it’s the biggest threat humanity faces. Yes being flippant but the American Media seem to have a bit of a agenda against Joe at the moment. Maybe because they are losing their audience at an increasing rate to people like Joe, with trust being at an all time low.

Of course they are, they had 4 years of a certain persons lies conditioning them against the media, without much of any at all fact involved. America is broken because of it.

Let’s have a different angle to the conversation.
Brand does surprisingly have some good takes on things at times. I can't help but feel he's appealing to his audience lately though.

Rogan's full unedited statement if people want to take a look. He's such a class act at times, no animosity towards the people trying to smear him. Top lad.

Assume by "smears" you mean actual facts of what he has said at times.
He literally has 10s of thousands of hours talking on a variety of subjects from health, politics, psychology, culture, comedy etc. and half the time he's high or half cut. It's inconceivable that he wouldn't get things wrong at times, but unlike many other sources he is willing to have it out over long conversations to try and get to the root of things. Clearly his audience enjoys the real time exploration of ideas.

If you want to take a select few things that's he gets wrong and dismiss him then fine, but he's not going anywhere even if Spotify ditch him. He's obviously a great source of entertainment as the numbers speak for themselves. That doesn't mean people should take everything he says as gospel. Only an idiot would do that.

What misinformation and how many of you guys would have even known about it had Neil Young not have launched his media backed assault?

Covid misinformation. Grow up your all double vaccinated right and boosted to the hilt? So who cares what a couple of Americans said on another Americans pod cast. Get a grip people.

If you don’t agree with someone’s views or his style of interviewing then don’t listen. It’s not like he’s actually supposedly running a country and telling you guys to do one thing, while him and his cronies are doing the opposite, is it? The ones who lie and misdirect on a regular basis are the ones who actually have the ability to do real harm. Not Rogan or his guests.

Woke cancel culture live and active in GD

Who is trying to cancel Joe Rogan? I haven't seen anyone in here advocating for that. "Woke" really is such a lazy term now. Its so overused its become a joke.

You honestly think misinformation isn't a growing problem? Before MMR and Andrew Wakefield anti vax was such a fringe movement that most had probably never heard of it, then he blew it up and many bought into it, I had friends having kids around that time and they refused to vaccinate their kids even after he was struck off. Now its far from a fringe movement, its almost mainstream. The curve is going in completely the wrong direction.

Yes and the world is full of idiots. Witness the rise of the conspiracy loon. A very popular influencer should not be spreading misinformation. The guy has said he will try to improve. That's all that's required. :)

he just doubles down - recipting the supposed unimpeachable credentials of the two doctors he interviewed - does joe live under a stone, he didn't have the intellect to do some pre-work on the criticism addressed against them, and bring that up during interview, for balance - be aware of your own limitations

It used to be endless "SJW" talk years ago. Who starts these trends I'd love to know...

Who decides what is misinformation? Over the past two years, there have been many things that were considered misinformation and only conspiracy loons would think were true and are now considered facts.

There are often disagreements within the scientific community and governments and mainstream media have proven time and time again they can't be trusted. I want to be able to hear different opinions. Even if I disagree with that person consider what he's saying to not be true.

Sometimes things are misinformation and then later on they're facts, as outlined in the Russell Brand video you didn't watch, but you want to stop people from discussing things because they might be wrong? Are people no longer allowed to say things which are incorrect?

Jimmy Saville being a paedophile was probably a conspiracy theory and misinformation at one point, you would presumably have wanted to cancel anyone from saying it since it wasn't factually known

The majority of these things do not end up being facts, thats just a few lucky punts from the millions of tons of alt fact ******** that has turned out to be true. On the whole its 99% guff and well all know it.

If you regularly listen to misinformation you will end up down a rabbit hole. Just look at Trump fans and the now broken USA. Just tone done the guff, job done.

Just let people say whatever they want and if you disagree with something that's been said then put forward a better argument, job done.
