Joe Rogan and Spotify

Ironic really, especially when you take into account that the people that own his music are responsible for some serious deforestation of the Amazon.
It’s not really about covid or misinformation that’s merely a mechanism l, it’s always about money, control, perception.

nobody is using it to curb free speech.

You have to keep Roar87's scomment in context.
Keep in mind chroniclard replied to this,

Just let people say whatever they want and if you disagree with something that's been said then put forward a better argument, job done.

with this.
Society has a duty of care for the vulnerable.

It looks like he didn't agree with letting people say what they want and debating as we need to care for the vulnerable. That's chroniclard trying to use it to curb free speech.

Just in the interest of fairness. We’ve had a Trump and Boris no more needs be said other than Blair and Iraq ;)

I'm no fan of Blair (to say the least) but why is it that he's a go to whataboutery for criticism of Boris Johnson? Yes, Blair was a ****. Boris Johnson is also a ****.

At least a lot of people who voted for Blair were relatively quick to point out he was a ****. Admitted it and still think he's a ****. Loads of people who voted for Blair were dead and against and marched against the war. I can't see any of that from the Johnson sycophants. Johnson it seems could strangle kittens live on TV and still be one of the lads whilst people would think it it somehow pertinent to mention Blair and Iraq. It's a non-sequitur.

It should be the dictionary definition of misinformation was the point. Neither Politicians or journalist’s/media did anything about it until far too much damage was done.

Worse than that though, he was knighted for his service to devastate a sovereign nation both abroad and at home.

Only through free and open debate can ideas be tested.

Clamping down on ideas is working out great isn't it?

Without hearing alternative views, and views we don't like mean we end up living a fantasy life devoid of the reality of what other people think.

It leads to all these trigger warnings on films, books and other people. Because now there is a creeping sense that bad characters can't exist in fiction because of wrong-think.

I don't want to live in the nanny state.

We're already in it.

But we have to protect the vulnerable

This is complete guff. None of this is happening, nobody is clamping down on "alternative views", these are not views but lies and misinformation. These are not ideas to be tested, it's not science, it's misinformation. It's distinctly different.
