Joe Rogan and Spotify

oh right, so rather than have a debate between a medical professional and an anti vaxer you'd just prefer to **** and moan about the guests Rogan has on instead. Winning strategy that.

The medical professional shouldn't go within a mile of the anti vaxer. He has zero to gain. The only people that gain are Joe Rogan and the anti vaxer.

For people whose mantra is 'trust the science' they sure don't have a lot of faith in it.

No they have plenty of faith in it. What they don't have faith in is that there is anything to gain going on an entertainment show with an anti vaxer. That same show will then cut clips that are the most entertaining to get the most clicks regardless of facts.

If you don't trust the science then just use herbs or prayers next time you or your loved ones get sick. The idea that laymen could understand this subject on a level that means they could make an informed decision on who is right is laughable. These people spent decades learning this stuff. And you think Joe Stoner Rogan has the intellect or knowledge to moderate this   and I say that as someone who used to love to get stoned.

Honestly this is like asking Neil deGrasse Tyson to debate someone who believes we have UFOs locked away in Area 51 or that the Earth o
is 6k years old. He'd have to be out of his mind to agree to do it.

Neil deGrasse Tyson has terrible takes on UFOs, he basically said "why would they be interested in us" - despite the fact that humans study bacteria and slugs so that was such an odd take.

Nothing to gain except the possibility of changing some anti vaxers minds and saving lives you mean?

When the alternative is a sex offending grifter it’s not so mad
Has the republican nomination been finalised then? Must have missed that. Although the possibility of a trump/rfk jr face off for the presidency could be some wild tv.

In this thread so far -

Currently.
Left - Grrrrrr Joe Rogan is Bad, only believe what I say or you're a bigot.
Right - Grrrrrr Joe Rogan is Great, only believe what I say or you're woke.

Overall.
Left - Grrrrrr Elon Musk is Bad, only believe what I say or you're a bigot.
Right - Grrrrrr Elon Musk is Great, only believe what I say or you're woke.

The vast Majority - This is why we can't have nice things

For the most recent "pick a side on this complex subject and you disgust me if you pick the wong one" argument in here it's pretty simple - Rogan is in the entertainment business and how he runs his show for his fans is his business. Anyone who wants to provide an alternate view is completely free to do so.

Kinda sums up my past experiences of watching Rogan's podcasts. it cannot be denied he's had some great guests and the interviews have been excellent with great exchange. But then he interviews nutjobs and that sidelines all the good from before and raises eyebrows. And then Rogan is in the headlines about other bs and you just think wtf is he doing...

It's got to the point where with these sorts of people you really have to take every production on its own merits in isolation, like a court trial where the jury are told only to base their deliberations and verdict based on the evidence presented and not the past actions of the accused or what's out there in the ether being said as it's unrelated to this case.

It just so happens though that the far right have very few redeemable qualities in anything they put out, anyone with any rational thinking and common decency/sense can see this and it's very hard to put a positive mindset into the things those people say or do as it rarely makes any logical or common sense. Right wingers seem devoid of any critical thinking which would normally allow them to rethink their views when presented with evidence that goes against what they've been told and what they believe it, whereas left wingers often will adopt the evidence approach and adapt as new findings come to light. I think this is because it's far easier to shout and go against the grain than it is to be a critical thinker and accept that you might be in the wrong and then change your view for the better.

You aren't changing their minds on a Joe Rogan podcast. What they believe is totally irrational and you aren't reaching the irrational with rational arguments. Its like an atheist trying to convince someone who believes in a god. Its faith to these people now.

RFK has poor popularity amongst dems, the recent havard poll from a few days ago had him getting 15% of votes compared to Biden getting 62% of the dem vote.

Very hard to imagine him getting the gig at this moment in time just as it’s very hard to imagine Desantis, Haley, Christy beating Trump.

Presumably if you don’t want Trump in office then you will be hoping he gets disqualified from running because it feels like that’s the only way any of the other republicans can win and is probably why they are quietly hoping he is found guilty.

You mean he doesn't believe we've been visited by aliens, aliens that have cracked interstellar travel and the technology required to do so only to crash when they reach Earth again and again. Yeah he clearly doesn't know his stuff.

And we study these things because they are part of our natural world.

Neil has always followed such statements up by saying show me the evidence - All it takes is one concrete piece of evidence to prove otherwise. If you only cherry pick his quotes and not include the context, then sure it sounds like he's being "terrible" - But the reality is he's always said show the evidence, which to date, there has been none shown.

That isn't what he said. He said why would they bother studying us which is a ****** take since we study all kinds of insects, plants and bacteria. We also have robots searching for microbes on Mars lol

I don't give 2 ***** personally as i'm not American, if I had to choose though I'd say trump because the meltdown from lefties will be 100x better than last time.. and who doesn't love a meme.

In all seriousness I havent looked at what they are running on so I cant actually comment on who I would vote for.

Is that supposed to be me? I'm sure you can point to the numerous gaslighting posts I make then?
Yes that is you, admittedly a hyperbolic name. But that's never stopped anyone on these forums now has it. Do you think i bookmark them or something? Also nice strawman.

You have habit of telling someone they are wrong when recounting an event and then when they retort with what they were refrencing you move on to pointless semantics in an attempt to dismiss them. See your posts above.
You are probably not the only person that does this but apparently you do it often enough that I associate it with you.

The initial comment was "when the jab first came out they all said you wouldn't get covid if you took the jab."
First it was the time line is off and now you have an issue with hyperbole. Even though your original comment never picked up on any of these problems. Step 2: Move to pointless semantics activated

Nobody ever said this.

Oh sorry my bad I do remember one instance where you tried to correct Deuse (who to be fair wasn't accurate in his recollection of the video) but your response was just downright dishonest and is cleary intentional considering that you claimed to have seen the video prior to responding.

Go and watch the interview where she was asked about Afghanistan. It's somewhere about.
She burst in to laughter.
Why do you think they keep her out the US most of the time?
Googled it.

Seems she approaches reporters smiling and laughing and then somebody asks a question about Afghanistan, over the noise of a jet engine or something

FTFY

Which they don't finish, because Harris interrupts them, saying "hold on hold on slow down everybody", she then giggles. Before composing herself and saying "there are two things i want to talk about"

The video for people to make up their minds

They would most likely be so advanced, that they would have nothing to gain from studying us, other than curiosity. Unlike us, who know very little about our own planet, let alone what's out in space. We have a lot of knowledge to gain from studying different types of living organisms.
