Unfortunately too many people in this country will jump to the conclusion that he is guilty due to the way it will be handled and repeated in the media.
Indeed. However I feel the media treatment is down to the mismanagement of the situation by the FA.
Did he? He is innocent of that charge until proven otherwise.
I've not said he's guilty. He stands accused of racially abusing a colleague.
The world of football is not the same as the average workplace and different rules apply in practice.
And I assume he isn't being suspended from actually playing for England, which presumably you would advocate? Perhaps he should be suspended from playing for his club too?
In reality this is just prejudicing his chances of a fair trial in my opinion. He has already been tried by the media and the whole thing is a farce in my view.
The world of football is a work place. Irrelevant that it's not 'average' work place.
Do you know anything about this situation or are you jumping in because it's a thread that deals with a white person accused of being racist?
No, he's not been suspended from playing for club or country. Which is (imho) wrong. He should have been suspended as soon as chargers were bought against him. That's what happens in other working environments.
In reality the FA have handled the case badly from the start, his trial by media has all come down to the FA's lack of balls to do the correct thing, which was to suspended him from club / country as soon as the charges were bought against him. Get the trial done as quickly as possible and go from there.
