If anything is going to **** Terry up it is going to be this if it is confirmed. Imagine what Beckham for example is going to think of him behind the scenes if there is any element of truth of this development. I can imagine Beckham will want to put England first regardless, but you can imagine what his true feelings about Terry are going to be. Capello must see paying a women to have a hush hush abortion is just not compatible behaviour for an England captain. I find this revelation to be very very distasteful personally, even after becoming pretty much used to how highly paid footballers generally behave these days.

I kind of agree with Linoge and JG on this one. As long as he does not loose the dressing room and the respect of the players then his captaincy should only come into question for the headlines on the back pages, not the front. I think Capello is strong enough to view his captaincy in this way also.

The whole JT business doesn't surprise me - it's not the first time he has cheated on his missus and I'm sure if she stays with him it won't be the last.
Yes JT is a very good defender but he has drawn the line by stooping this low. Most of the Chelsea and some of the England team will support him but most players will not, which I fully agree with them. This is a player that has taken bungs, cheated many times and not forgetting urinated in the middle of a nightclub. If my memory serves me right previous England captains like Butcher, Shearer, Robson, Moore etc never done anything like this.

Thing is, if the bloke had had some morals , not cheated on his wife with a teammates gf, knocked her up and paid for it to be terminated, there would have been nothing to report. Whilst the papers may or may not have been right to publish it, the simple fact is that there is only one guy to blame for the actions happening at all and thats the guy who couldnt keep his trousers on

Another angle, Terry has allegedly deprived Wayne Bridge's son of a potential half brother/sister for the sole sake of protecting his own image, to the extent that it is covered up such that even Wayne Bridge will never know, money changing hands to convince the woman to have it done. Forget about football for a moment, the abortion story, if true, means exactly what I've said above. No wonder WB wants to restrict the damage this may have on his son.

I don't actually know if Bridge "let" him do it in his house, its very possible he simply went there and did it, she was someone he took to a random party there. I honestly don't know, if Bridge said "here's my keys, go bang that bird in my house so your Missus doesn't know" then you've got a point. If he just banged some random bird that got into a party at Bridge's house then I'd hardly call that Bridge helping him to do so.
Yup, think it was £800 of clothes his mum and mother in law i think stole, which considering he could give them a million quid without any trouble, is rather bad. Though again, they could both be awful parents who both Terry and his wife stay away from, nothing wrong with that either, don't know the situation. Same goes for the dad, dodgey as hell if they are in contact and he can just buy him a house/what he needs, if he's an estranged parent who they have no contact with, its not fair to have a go at Terry over it.
It is a scummy thing to do, your best friend who has a child with this woman. Bridge will always have to be in contact with her to help bring up the kid, its not some skank ex who were together for a month 5 years ago, she's basically the ex wife who he'll always know and have to talk to. Banging her is bad, getting her pregnant and paying for the abortion, not as bad as people make out, accidents happen, even if stupidly, and abortions aren't terrible or evil. But it could be traumatic on both of them, and if his actions cause her to be upset which effects his kid Bridge has every last right to be incensed over the whole thing.
Somehow I missed the fact that Terry banged a 17year old girl, when he was what 25/26years old, which is rather bad aswell.
The wife, well, knew exactly what he was like before she married him knowing he'd cheated at least twice and all this crap about them being flirty and playing footsie for years.
The simple fact is its not great behaviour, and not really something our captain should be doing, he's a role model for young kids, like it or not, and that comes with some responsibility. Stripping him of the captaincy tells those kids something, that behaviour isn't acceptable, so he should lose the captaincy.
As for the judge letting the papers print their stories, he has a point, the reasoning for the gag order, well the laws were there to protect people's lives, save people from getting hurt and protect those that can't protect themselves in some cases. It would seem MANY people in football already knew, Bridge heard the rumours 2 weeks before they got the gag order. The hurt was done, Terry really was just trying to protect his reputation for financial reasons, and those laws weren't designed to protect Terry's wallet, decent ruling by a judge in the UK shocker.
