Journey Back to The Stage

Knee feels glorious this morning, normally I'd be feeling it right about now, especially when first waking up

But nope, not even once. Feels good!

Scott is a wizard

That's good! Did they have you working on form and some mobility?

Yeah it was purely about form with Scott. That's why we tried pause squats so I could adjust at the bottom of the movement and focus on keeping my legs out

Did some mobility stuff, some crazy back foam rolling, and then a lot of stuff for me to help brace my core. Was mireful

Omg what have you done with steedie! This is clearly a steedie 2.0 with a new understanding, and dare I say it love? for mobility work!!

Keep it bro and that 200 dl and 150 squat will be demolished in no time :)

Hayfever has properly ko'd me today. I've felt so out of it all day, completely blocked sinuses and just garbage. Thanks pollen. It really showed in my workout too, wasn't helped by my first shoulders session in 3 weeks

Friday: Shoulders/Bis

Seated BB Press - Bar x15, 40kg x10 (hard... :/), 50kg x8x2
OHP - 40kg x10, 45kg x10x2 (ridiculously hard, wtf...)
Laying Rear Flys - 12kg x15, 16kg x12x3
Rear Cable Flys - 15kg x12, 20kg x12 (just dead at this point)
Cable Side Raises - 15kg x10x3
Shrugs - 80kg x15x2, 100kg x15x2, 110kg x10
Preacher Curls - 20kg x15x2, 25kg x12x3
Hammer Curls - 12kg x10x3
DB Curls - 12kg x15x2

OHP was particularly bad, got light headed towards the end of each rep, probably not breathing properly, which is harder with a blocked nose

Ridiculous doms in my legs too, just a load of **** today

Right in the feels bro, in the feels.

Let's be honest though, that session is not that bad at all, you still moved a decent weight despite the pollen aids :).

Bank Holiday back, and another failure at 200! ****!!!

Monday: Back
Deadlift - 60kg x15, 100kg x12, 140kg x8, 180kg x3, 200kg F, 140kg x15 (Sheer frustration got me through that)
Bent Over Row - 70kg x10, 90kg x10x2, 100kg x10
Lat Pulldown - 70kg x10x3
Close Grip Pulldown - 65kg x10x2
Seated Cable Row/Pullover Superset - 70kg x12/30kg x10 x3

That last deadlift set was epic, so surprised I managed so many. Got to 11 and had to pause a sec but aside from that I was just banging them out. Decent form too as at that weight I don't struggle with hips coming up first

Get some vids dude, would love to see how your form is coming along with you regularly being touched up by the masters :)

140x15 :eek::cool:

Yeah I'll try, best place for me to get videos is when I'm at Scotts gym, because mine, people always make me feel like a plank for asking

140x15! That works out to be a 1rm of 230 - just proves that those calculators don't really reflect a true reflection of what is achievable.

Exactly. No way I'd be able to hit 230.

Maybe I'm working up to 200 all wrong, any guys got a better way in terms of warmup sets etc to work up to 200

Start with the bar and do some RDL humping action.

60x8
100x6
120x3
140x2
160x1
180x1
200x1
220x1

Win.

Looks good! Cheers

Would mire 220! Not convinced, with my hips problem that it would go up, certainly not without the banana back. But I'll give it a try

:p

Get 200 in the bag first then see if you think you have more. The banana back is what is holding you back (lol) from the bigger weights. That's why you can do 140x15 but fail on a 200 single.

That feel when
