Had a big scare tonight, just when I thought my knee was sorted
Thursday: Quads/Calves
Back Squats - 60kg x12, 80kg x10, 100kg x8, 100kg x6 (Hmmmm), 100kg x8 (Really aware of my knee now), 100kg x6 (ABORT, ABORT)
Front Squats - 60kg x10, 80kg x10x2
Walking Lunges - BW x20, 36kg x20x3
Calf Raises - 60kg x15x5, 80kg x10x3
Leg Extensions - 50kg x12x3
Single Leg Leg Press - 120kg x10, 140kg x10x2
My knee, my ****ing knee. I'm absolutely gutted, as until now I thought it was fixed. I did my warm ups like Scott showed me, felt absolutely fine until the first 100kg set. Then I got a sharp ache, a totally different pain than I used to get, which felt like it was coming from my knee cap, it was bang in the centre of my knee, literally felt like it was right on the cap. Second set, it was worse, felt it every time at the bottom of the movement. Then the last set, 6th rep, I got a really bad shooting pain that caused my leg to buckle, more out of shock than something making it go.
You know what's weird, front squats feel absolutely fine, no pain at all. Knee feels totally normal. Infact, the only exercise I felt pain on after squats was leg extension, at the bottom of the movement, it hurt in the same place. I have no idea wtf is going on, but I'm so gutted
Really ruined my session
