Journey Back to The Stage

Weight this morning was 104kg, lawdy lord. Funnily enough, I don't feel like I'm putting it on in the wrong places, certainly not claiming it's all muscle, or even that the majority is, but my fat distribution is either much more even at the moment or I'm just storing it in places I'm not seeing.

150kg Easily.

Anoos?

100kg at the Oxford strong man meet, but I looked fat as **** then, while as even from my biased point of view, I really don't think I am now. I'm not going to say I'm lean, as I'm not, but I'm not fat either

That's what I was going to say, that you look better now despite being the same weight / slightly heavier.

Fuark, chest gains

Thursday: Chest/Biceps

Bench Press - 60kg x10, 80kg x8, 90kg x5, 105kg x8x3
High Incline DB Press - 24kg x8, 30kg x8x2
Pin Press - 70kg x8, 80kg x8x2
DB Fly - 20kg x8x2
Bar Curls - 40kg x8x3
DB Curls - 18kg x8x3
Hammer Preachers - 16kg x8x2

Dat bench mane, it's coming. I managed to improve keeping tension through the set tonight. Still a bit slow through the second half of the press, but it's getting better. Going to go 110kg for sets next week so it's definitely a good sign

Think I'm going to aim for these at the New Year meet

Bench - 130kg (+5kg)
Squat - 180kg (+30kg)
Deadlifts - 215-220kg (+15/20kg)

Give me a nice total of 525kg. Which will be more than I thought I'd get too. If I can continue to make improvements and keep this confidence up with my lifts then I'd like to aim for 550kg by this time next year. I am slightly concerned that as soon as Rob goes back in February, that I might fall back into old habits as I haven't got the confidence of knowing he's there if something goes wrong or the encouragement. I just wish I had a good training partner all year round

Horrible back session tonight :(

Deadlifts - 60kg x10x2, 100kg x8, 150kg x4x4, 170kg x2, 190kg xF, 150kg x8
Bent Over Rows - 100kg x8x3
Chins - BW x8x3
Single Arm Rows - 40kg x8x3

Everything just hurt today. I think I'm starting to get fatigued due to a lack of sleep and this training. Going to failure on a lot of things and the rests, just knackers me

Deadlifts suffered massively tonight. 187 flew up last week, but 190 just went nowhere this week. But then I knew I was in trouble when 170 felt like a struggle. Disappointing end to an otherwise solid week

It is almost irritating how a bad night's sleep (or several on the trot) can ruin a gym session.

Although, to be fair, the body is just trying to recover... :o

My pecs are still sore from 30s rest benching on Tuesday, so I have no idea how you do it day in, day out...

Monday: Shoulders/Triceps

DB Shoulder Press - 16kg x10, 26kg x8, 34kg x8x3
Lateral Raises - 22kg x8x2, 20kg x8
Z Press - 55kg x8, 50kg x8x2
Rear Delt Fly - 22kg x8x3
Inverted Row - BW x8x2
CGBP - 60kg x8, 90kg x8x2
Overhead DB Extension - 30kg x8, 42.5kg x8x2
Cable Extensions - 25kg x8x2

Strength still a bit off tonight. Z Press was horrible, had to drop the weight a bit, but other than that, it was ok
