Just been assaulted...

I was having this discussion with my parents the other day... just seems to be no resepct anymore of your neigbour or of authority figures such as police men.

I was stood outside a friends house the other night and these two kids (12 or 14) ran around the corner and punched his car wing mirror and window. I shouted at them along the lines of "what do you think you're doing" when ten of their mates came running around the corner.

I'm glad I was outside my mates house because it could have been messy. What hope does even a pair of coppers (even with a dog) have against 10-12 youths. This whole gang mentality makes controlling them very hard.

My mum would have sorted them out lol she used to be a head teacher I rekon she should be PM and im pretty sure the minute she used her teachers voice the whole country would start behaving hehe.

ahh another example of blairs britain.
Yea, cause i mean, only in "blairs britain" does this kind of thing happen, i mean, america and the rest of europe, whilst just as civilised, dont suffer these problems at all do they  :p

to be honest we should ban tracksuits and kill neds/schemies/chavs/scally etc every where. this would make britian a better place would it not? i think so.

Chavs contribute nothing to this country. They just make it worse as they collect benefits. Without them, everyone is better off (assuming chavs do not count as 'everyone' - I'd agree with that!). Solutions: mass culling of chavs; shipping them off to space or greenland; giving them a written test in English and Maths - anyone who fails (i.e. all of them) are shipped off to space or greenland.

The most realistic (but perhaps not realistic enough) solution is to really cut down on chav birthrates and invest heavily in authoritarian education for chavs. Hammer them into shape from age 4 and the problem will be reduced. Essentially the only options they should have are a) co-operate and integrate, or b) cease to exist.

The simpler solution is just to bring back corporal and capital punishment. Without discipline there is no society.

This is because 99% of Europe have police officers who are not only armed, but also who are not affraid to hit first and ask questions later.

Europe doesn't have a chav problem because the justice system is very efficient at removing them from society and making it unfavourable for them to conduct their criminal activities.

France doesn't have a "chav" problem?

Did you see the riots up and down the country? How about the recent protests?

Very few of those people were actually protesting - a lot of the youths were out to cause trouble, vandalise and fight with the police.

I know that some people are going to disagree with what I say but here goes.....

How many of these little scrotes have got away with assaulting people becasue 9/10 they know that the other person isn't going to defend himself.

Last year a group of teenagers 18 ish, half a dozen of them, decided they were going to use my wifes £30,000 Audi as a climbing frame.

I went out and politely asked them to stop at this point one of them decided he was the big hard man and gave me a load of abuse and threats about what he was going to do, I stepped forward he raised his hand and without question I put him on his behind.

At this point he blubbed like a two year old and surprise surprise his mates weren't too keen on getting stuck in. I have never seen them again or had any sort of reprisal.

Maybe what I did was wrong but also maybe he will think twice before wanting to take the world on again.

Well done for standing up for yourself, but there's cases where people have done similar things, and ended up getting shanked.

I wasn't disagreeing with you, just pointing out something in your post.

Young males are most likely to be attacked because a) they're likely to have stuff worth taking. Cash, cards, phone, etc. and b) they're more likely to be walking on their own at night. That doesn't stop OAPs being more vulnerable.
Ah okay, safe :)

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Turns out they went on to use my Amex card in Tesco. They managed to buy £300 of stuff in multiple transactions (god knows how that works) before it was cancelled. Hopefully the store will have some good CCTV of the guy who used it.

Does anyone know if it's common for people who commit card fraud to get caught? I would really like some sort of justice this time...

They'll usually get caught if the paper trail is good enough. CCTV may be the key here in catching these individuals.

EDIT: £300 though, who's gonna be out of pocket? Tesco or the bank? I'm assuming the bank...

also why am getting out of this country when I become a qualified nurse :)

If you think you can find some panacea of a country where this sort of thing never happens then I am afraid you have a bit of a shock coming to you :)

Tesco should be able to provide pretty good CCTV footage of these scumbags using your card. Hopefully something will come of it, chances are they are known to the police.

Yeah, the woman from Amex phoned me today - at first I thought I'd have to pay it as it all happened before I reported my card stolen (I keep the Card Protection Plan number on the phone that was nicked...). Massive relief to know I won't have to foot the amount. It wasn't a chip & pin card (Amex haven't bothered moving over yet), so Amex will be footing the bill.

I'm alright though - a few bruises, but nothing really bad, and none really hurt. My jaw is still a bruised and hurts like hell when eating, but luckily not fractured. So physically I got off alright :).

In Britain, we have no such efficiency, no such officers.

Haha, oh dear. The grass is always greener.

Do you seriously not think things like this happen in other countries? I'd rather walk about a city centre in England than your average French banlieu.

Walking away from a work function in St Albans to get a taxi, me and a mate were jumped by about 10 hooded guys. I was eventually pushed to the floor and knocked out. I had my phone and wallet stolen. "Luckily" I just have a swollen face, possibly fractured cheek bone (will get it checked in the morning).

I've reported it to the police, got my cards cancelled and phone cancelled. I had about £90 in my wallet (to pay for a taxi home) and no insurance on my phone.

I'm obviously pretty peeved. Particularly so, because, only in May last year, I was bottled in a night club randomly by some guy. This resulted in a fractured skull, the resulting fix required my head to be sliced, my face pulled down and 54 stitches to bind it back together.

Why is this country in such a state? How on earth do we live in a chav nation? I'm seriously considering upping stakes and disappearing...

Nick
:(

Where abouts in St. Albans? I've lived here all my life and have never had any trouble.

Jeez Nick, sorry to hear this mate :(

Really glad you weren't badly hurt... some scrotes will do anything to get your phone/wallet.

They're nothing but a bunch of cowards. Act all tough in their groups, but get one on his own and you can enjoy seeing them cower in the corner
