Just been assaulted...

This reminds me of back in the summer when I was at a local pub with some mates and one said he'd head off back home. I remember offering to walk back with him as he was extremely drunk but he declined and I respected that.

The next day at work he was really bruised and told me he was attacked on the way home (to anyone who know's the area: The brooke behind Manchester Dr.) by 4-5 chavs and they stole his phone and wallet etc.

I felt sorry and almost partly to blame because I didn't walk back with him. But I offered to, so I don't know...

To a speedy recovery eh Nick? :)

Ah, that explains it... I've known a lot of people be beaten up for no reason coming out of Batchwood. A couple of years back there were gangs of youths that'd drive up and down the lane and the 'drive' looking for people to attack as they went home. I'm glad it wasn't any worse physically :(.

The drive that cuts through the golf course, or the road which ends up by the big roundabout?

Real shame to hear this :( .

I was in Bromley in Kent two weeks ago with the GF and we were walking through the Glades when a group of 6 lads came toward us all wearing hoodies etc.I didnt really pay any attention until one of them hit me round the back of the head with his bag!!

What got me is that I am not the smallest of people(6ft 2in and weigh 15 +stone) so I made a comment about him being a ******* ****** :D and then the next thing I know I am toe to toe with the ringleader and surrounded by the other 5.

I had that oh no moment when I realised that I was surrounded but stood my ground and calmly told them all what I thought of them all punctuated with lots of choice swear words lol.By this point a load of people had stopped and were watching the show and backing me up.

They decided to scarper then.Cowards.

Its been bugging me for weeks since it happened as the GF kept saying why didnt you hit him and I kept thinking that as wel,but after talking to some of my mates they all said that they would not have even said anything!

Just for the record I am 37 years old and not a youngster in his 20's.

Society sucks now when you read things what the OP has written it really does.

I've heard Bromley gets a lot of trouble from all the youth rudeboy chavs coming from Lewisham etc for a night out.

This was on a Sunday afternoon at 2.00pm,first time I had been there since I was 15!

I think what threw mw most was the fact it was a Sunday and I was out shopping, its not as though I had been in a boozer/club or anything and it was drink fuelled.

Yea, cause i mean, only in "blairs britain" does this kind of thing happen, i mean, america and the rest of europe, whilst just as civilised, dont suffer these problems at all do they  :p

what an absolute pathetic argument.

since blair came to power the social security system for no good scum has had a hey day, extra money for getting pregnant when 16, free house etc etc.

what does that promote ?

16 parents who think police / teachers are scum because they though so ? passed onto there children and there children means we are on a downward spiral, percipatated by blairs benenfit baby britain.

If you cant see that then frankly yer blind.

Ouch, thats bad mate, and I agree with you NickXX, what is this country coming to? It really is starting to get out of hand, there is no respect anymore. But I hope everything regarding your injuries and getting these ******* goes well and everything is ok.

Man I feel sorry for you..........
I don't know if these problems can ever be reversed, I don't go out much at all, apart from work. Social places don't interest me anyway. I am a Sikh, born in this country, and happily consider it my home (my parents came over in the late 1960's when there was an actual demand for labour from abroad, however the 'sensible' people over hear just couldn't figure out when the immigration should cease, taking on far more people than they should well into the 80's). I work as a multi drop courier within Milton Keynes, where the 'chav' lifestyle can be seen in all it's glory. Drugs, abuse of every kind, lack of personal hygene you name it, many have no interet in any form of legal employment. Some of the estates are full of people who have no desire to contribute to the well being of this country whatsoever. One has to ask the question, what will be the state of this country in the next 15 years or so???

not far off dude, I have nothing against any race, but the quota has been exceeded by far. Especially considering some of the criminal activity that I see, and experience in my field of work, MK has a very high percentage of drug dealers and fraudsters...............

Where abouts in st albans were you? I was out last night in st albans, few things happened there recently, my girlfriend got her purse stolen from a pub a few weeks ago (they got away with 50p) and the next week our mates got jumped by some thugs in a stolen car (we just missed it) they caught the guys though.
