Just cause 3

My crossfire 390's beat most overclocked 980ti and titans and destroy the Furyx....so I'm guessing sli 970's would be close, maybe just getting past it in some benches.. 780ti in sli would beat a single 980ti also which would be far cheaper now, kinda backed up in quite a few of the benchmark threads, hence why nvdia gimped 780ti via drivers.

Would you not call a titan Nvidias flagship card?

Crossfire 390's when crossfire is working should out perform a single 980Ti.

When working they will pull a few fps more when optimised well, they also cost more or less the same. And defiantly aren't cheaper and most certainly don't **** all over the 980ti more of a side grade. But with all the problems related to xfire ect and more power consumption so that's a factor aswel really.

I would call it a flagship workstation card. (Well I would have if it still had any benefits over a regular card for workstation use, no frankly I would call it stupid)

I'm trying to speak in a real world situation for us common folk :)

That's now Harry, come on stop being cute, those are today's prices, I said when I bought mine which was a few months back now. 980ti prices were at their peak then, 390 prices were at their lowest then.

Wonder how much two 780ti's would be now...a very cheap, old and powerful setup that would beat a 980ti :) like I said in my original post. You can go back a gen and find a cheaper, better performing setup than the latest, fastest most expensive flagship card. To me Nvidia and AMD do not want us doing it, it's bad for the sales of the latest gen cards. We are seeing to many games of late having terrible to no scaling for mgpu setups, pascal coming right ;)

Second hand the 780tis would be a good price and would again side grade on the 980ti with the issues with sli again but certainly cheaper how much so? No idea will need to check MM.

I don't think it's that AMD/Nvidia don't want us doing it, I just think they don't see a market big enough to pour resources into it. Wish that would change :/ not sure if DX12 or any other new API's could have any implications on this matter?? I know it allows VRAM Stacking so it must have some form of connection to mgpu systems? Also NVIDIA worry me with there new VR SLI, hope they don't decide to drop regular sli support even more for that.

Pascal will be interesting but as I THINK you are insinuating that it is one of the reasons manufacturers are purposely not supporting sli so they can market there new cards and make more money surely amds Fiji can be pointed at just as much :D???

PS I'm not trying to come across as a **** if I am :D I just don't see any company crippling there own products potential on the basis of money. Much peace and love !

PSS Also it may be the prices now, but now is relevant unless you have a time machine for everyone to go back in time so they can get a 390for a bit cheaper :D

EDIT : CaptainRAVE look what you have caused :D

Yeah can we keep this about the game, not posuturing about which setup is mazeballs and what out performs what.

We have a GPU subforum for you lot throw your handbags around in. It has padded equipment to stop you getting an ouchie.

Having a load of fun with this. A lot more than other games lately. Not finding it as deep as others, but for a blast, it's awesome.

Just managed to do around 10 minutes 30 seconds in the Wing suit, thought it was pretty fun hah.

This is fun, but not as much as just cause 2 was. Can't work out what it is missing though. Just feels a little bland.

I'm finding this too. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it and think it was worth the money, I'll definitely put plenty more hours into it just tooling around.

But it feels a bit flat sometimes, most of the areas look copied and pasted, I swear it never seemed so repetitive in JC2?

One thing I've found is different in JC3 over JC2 is flying jets!

I could fly one quite happily in JC2 with my 360 pad but I think I need to play with the controller settings in JC3 as it's really hard!

Just completed the second smaller island - now on the Abandon Ship mission with the EMP device - main island here I come :D

This game runs much better on a Nvidia card, even if it is a 750Ti.

Really? Surprised to hear that.

Running pretty well for me on a single 290 at 5760x1080 at max settings except AA at SMAA. Averaging 30-40FPS most of the time (with some drifts up towards 50 at quiet times, and occasional drops to 20s during very intense bursts) and it's smooth enough for me at those rates - although I will be very pleased if they can get multi-GPU working to boost the rates without me having to drop quality when it's SO pretty! :D

Can't find that many benchmark reviews of the game, but the few I can find seem to show pretty much what you'd expect for a single-GPU only game - 980TI in front, 390X/290X dicing with 980, 390/290 with the 970, 280X, then 285, then 960.

What makes you say its running better on Nvidia hardware, mate?

Got it last night, ran pretty crap for me, looks good, but stutters a lot. 4770K, 16GB, and GTX 780 at 1920x1080, will have to investigate tomorrow night, Fallout 4 and Black Ops 3 have ran pretty decently on it the past few weeks.
