Just ordered my Coolermaster Ammo

HAHAHA, well was when someoen was comparing the Lanboy size with the sugo size, I doubt the PSU is that cramped in the lanboy compared to the SUGO..it was just to funny, like comparinf an A5 paper with an A4 one...

the CM Ammo pwnz0rz tbh!

I'll swap my collection of old crappy ATCS cases for one any day!

edit: meansizzler is obviously the only person on the forums to build a SFF system. praise his madskiillllz kthxbye

Hey I had an ATCS case once, well it was kinda big...hehehe...

It was a SFF desktop one so maybe. :)

A 201 / 110 would completely decimate a Ammo in just about everything bar DB/CFM ratios.

Thanks for the edits Begbo and Meansizzler.

The Sugo is only 35% smaller, it isnt that much really and there is only 5cm between my DVD drive and PSU.

Lanboy is 3cm deeper and slightly less wide, only dif is height.

Been there done that, had to wire A USB connector pin by pin to a mobo once so I don't mind..and why would I want an Eclipse...UGLY!!!!

So the Eclipse is ugly but the Ammo isn't? ...you must be blind.

As for judging PC cases by pictures, it just shows you don't know the first thing about judging cases. An owner's review and photographs are worth 10 online reviews and 100 stock photographs.

Why on earth do you care about the HD audio when you're going to be using a soundcard anyway? I'm with Yewen on this - it's a gimmick. If you're a true audiophile, you'd have a hifi set up with a top of the range soundcard (and i/o).

*cough* 0/

yewen? :p

My HiFi is not good at all, makes my Audigy 2 ZS and Xfi sound rubbish. :(

But then again, the CD's on the CDP are stunning, by my previous standards. :p

Much worse people than me, my audio is distinctly low end. :D

Well the true High end cards as they say the RME Hammerfall and LYNX are not ideal for gaming, I plan to play games so cannot use these cards for that, theyare not ideal games as they have no surround engine...there more for pro audio/stereo use, I have an Audigy 2 ZS but also have a new Intel Viiv Mobo which has the Dobly Digital Live on, similar to the HDA cards/Soundstorm system, so could use that for gaming as multichannel game audio is converted to multichannel dolby digital as passed out via spdif, and the intel board is HD Audio, also removing the Audigy and using on board HD Audio means I get a free PCI slot..well just a thought...

There are different types of HD Audio Codecs, eg Sigmatel/Realtek/Soundmax, and they vary slightly, the Intel HD Audio Standard uses the Sigmatel Codec and features the Multistremaing capabilty...also all the codecs can support the Dolby Digital Live Technology or not, just depends weather the board manufaturer wants to use it..hmmm new thread title...

HD AUDIO for NOOBS!!!

High end audio listening gear is never in surround sound though. Not from a music point of view anyway.

A HDA X-Mystique would be a better bet for gaming / sound quality.

Really depends though, you need the speakers and amp to make it worthwhile, and the source needs to be good which in a consumer PC is not going to happen.

If your running PC speakers than forget mentioning audio quality, especially with Creative cards as the sound they produce is just dire.

Are you going by what other people say or your own pesonal opinion, I like my creative card, coupled with my Logiech Z-5500's they sound great.., just have to tune it to your liking....

Why would I need that when I have the Dolby Digital Encoder built into my Intel Mobo?..they both do the same job, difference is I don't need ot shell out £60 for a soundcard...

are we still talking about the ammo? LOL. What yewen said unless you have a decent amp and speakers HD audio is pretty pointless.

You wouldn' want the cables coming from the front of the pc to your HIFI equipment would you being so cable tidy anyway?

i think overall the ammo looks like a half decent case, compared to the other cases mentioned though...hmmm, it looks rather cheesy, but its got some cool features, such as the handle and rubber button covers...

as for the eclipse being ugly
the pictures dont do an eclipse justice, its motherboard tray has better features and style then the entire ammo case:D as for front audio ports... who cares, as stated earlier just use the soundcard or like me my AIO controller...
