Just ordered my Coolermaster Ammo

This is a argumantative thread isn't it. Can I join in the fun? :) IMO, the LL pc7+ or the Lanboy would have been a much better choice than the Ammo. However if the OP is happy with it, then thats all that matters. As for the audio issue, I really think HD audio is very much wasted on pc speakers, no matter how much they cost. My audio system is onboard sound(I know.. planning on getting an X-fi eventually) then running to a Yamaha 640 DSP amp, then running to my Sennheiser headphones. I think even on this mid range setup HD audio would be wasted tbh.

OK got the case all set up and running, I like it, was able to mount my NT06 in it with fan which was Pointing straight at side air vent, knocks 10 degrees off the CPU temp, down from 62 degrees IDLE to 50, but the cooler is LOUD!!!, can cut it down to 1000 RPM then it's quiet and peaceful, CPU rises to 55 degrees which is not bad, hard drives are around 35-40 degrees, hopefull when the weather gets cooler they will drop to 32..graphics card is 57 degrees idle, pretty much the same as SUGO but the SUGO was great when it cable to expansion card cooling...

I like it, pictures soon, well put the CPU fan down from 2400RPM "45DB" to 1800RPM so I guess it's around 25DB and quiet enough for me..strangely enough CPU temp is 40-45 degrees idle..to low if you ask me, guess the Silver 5 is settling in....

1800rpm will probably be 28-30db and your temps do seem a little high but as always, pics please :)

40-45 isnt too low at all, my 3.8ghz 805 is currently idling at 32c with a freezer 7 pro @ 1500rpm

Edit: Make that dual folding, 100% load @ 51c ;) 1400rpm fan

well some people just cant have a 30 quid pc case

Because there is a huge difference between them.

Unlike graphics cards they dont instantly depreciate when the next model comes out, so they don't lose much money at all.

Its like the same as a low end graphics card, why does anyone run a SLI rig when a 6200tc will output a picture and render 1fps on screen? The game is indeed running on it.

Depending on what case you go for you can have low temperatures at low volume, which is what the aim of a case is usually. It all depends what you want from your PC, if you can't see the benefit of a expensive case then you can't see the point.

From using cheap cases, take the Zen I just got and comparing them next to my S80b, the differences are astronomical, in just about everyway.

Each to their own and all that, people on my MSN have told me my 7800gt is slow, yet it runs all the games I play, maxed out with 8xaa af with 60fps+ across the board, tell me I would notice a difference going to a much faster 1900xt, I would not so I don't. Same is true of cases, if you use the extra capeabilities the case can provide, then it is worth every penny, if you do not then a basic £30; although I think cases start at £55, will do the job

PICS...

Idle temps: All fans running < 1400rpm @ 3.8ghz, CPU fan at 1350rpm..

CPU - 31c
Mobo - 28c (passive)
HD - 27c
Don't know about the graphics though, no sensor

and your point is?...i'm happy with my temps, no need to show off...and unless you have the exact same spec is me then there is no point to your post..., if your going to compare case temps at least have the same CPU as me...

I nearly do have the same CPU as you, except it is running 800mhz faster with more voltage. I was not showing off, just giving you something to compare with. No need to get so defensive :)
