Just left the tube this morning (Moorgate) and was wandering down to work, about to cross the road, when a police motorcyclist went through the red light and stopped. He stopped the traffic going both ways, and started telling pedestrians to not cross the road.

I could see a couple more bikes with lights flashing down the road a bit, so I thought the next thing that would come down would be a big black Daimler limo with some kind of official flag on the front speeding through.

But no...

Just three dark grey Audi's, each with four serious looking gentlemen in each one.

At least one of them was actively hiding his face from view too.

If anyone knows that area, they were coming from the direction of Old Street Tube, down past Finsbury Square, M&S... There is an army barracks in that direction too.

Did anyone else see them? I know a few on here work around the Old Street/Moorgate/Liverpool Street area...

I suppose they could have been armed police, but surely they'd have had their own flashing lights? And they didn't seem in *too* much of a hurry, just didn't want to stop at red lights...

I would love to be in Convoy with 3 x Blacked out Audi RS4's on the motorway all dressed as Agent Smith and dominating the BMW (fast) lane.

I guess it's a secret dream of mine :)
 
Over ten unmarked cars were zooming down the A14 last night, with the hidden flashing lights under the grill and temporary roof ones attached. Was kind cool to see them pass.
 
I remember once seeing flying down the M4 an array of unmarked cars all dark, mostly black, with flashing blue lights. Amongst them was a 911 and a Z4M

I was like :eek::confused:

Perhaps it was the police 'testing' the capabilities of their cars!

I first read that as Paddington Station. I thought WTF why would they interrogate suspects at a train station. :confused: Then I re-read it. :o

Yeah... was probably that... was cool to see though - missed the next green man whilst watching and had to wait for the traffic to get back to normal before I could carry on :)

Have seen it before, just not with 'normal' cars, and being so close to army barracks too... tis nice to imagine :D
