You got it the wrong way around climate change will damage the Earth Ecosystem and then it will affect us in long term. Haven't we learn our lessing so far the answer is No because of our selfish acts we must still use oil vs cost? I just hope the world governments can put pollution tax on all ICE cars/lorries under a band rating higher band rates pay higher pollution tax, and in cities for green zones for EV use only.

Just Stop oil is a activist group but not stupid people just brave men and women who risk there life for the Earth.

They seem pretty stupid/misguided or even mentally ill from the video clips.

Their cause is nonsensical and their means of trying to achieve it is to just cause real disruption to people, how does any of this help the environment or help stop climate change?

Cobblers. They're at best a band of self-righteous power-hungry deluded people who make things worse unintentionally due to their ignorance and at worst a band of malicious self-righteous power-hungry people who make things worse intentionally. Either way, they are self-righteous power-hungry people who make things worse.

Also, they're not risking their lives unless they're more stupid and careless than they seem to be and they're certainly not risking their lives for any purpose other than their pursuit of power and self-gratification. They're risking other people's lives, of course, but they don't care about that. As long as they get power and the gratification of self-righteousness they don't care how many people die as a result of their actions. If they fail, they'll probably only kill dozens. If they succeed, they'll probably kill many millions, maybe even billions. Which would be a great success for them - it would be mostly beneficial for other animals and for plants.

Also, the earth isn't at any risk anyway. That's just a stand-in for the will of god(s) in their belief system. It's a direct like for like replacement. Both are a claim of massively superhuman authority for whatever they decide to do. Earth will be fine until Sol leaves its main phase and becomes a red giant. Maybe not even then if human civilisation survives and continues to increase its knowledge and technology. Which is what, if anything, will solve climate change without destroying human civilisation and killing billions of people.

As summer has gone, they've all returned to their 4 bed detached houses (probably not insulated) and are preparing their self-indulgent Xmas speeches for the turkey dinner where they'll tell their fawning friends and family how they fixed the world and gave people hope. You won't see these entitled douche bags until maybe Feb/March next year now.
 
An acquaintance of mine has one of these self acclaimed "activists" cars in for repair. He's probably even more anti them than I am, so i asked how he felt about it. He said he felt good, repairs would be time consuming, very very time consuming, for all sorts of reasons, and it's now in pieces in the dead car area, stationary, like he was whilst some cretins climbed up a toll bridge :) He's waiting for his disappearing doctor to bring his car in now, to really make Christmas a vindictive one :)

That is one way to stop oil by even a tiny amount. Every drop is an ocean as I am sure someone must have said at some time, somewhere.

If there was excess then sell it to France as they seem to need it.
