There are ways around that with nvidia inspector

With any collectible it all comes down to the resale value! If this GPU becomes higher in value has time goes by then you have done well! if it drops then you have failed

But technology depreciates ridiculously quickly, it's surely the worst possible type of collectable item ever if you're considering resale value.

Yeh I don't get these types of GPU's, as soon as next gen comes out why would anyone look back in time and performance and go to buy one?

Like my other cards the 1080 Ti's I use mostly for testing stuff.

My 24/7 PC is a watercooled Quad SLI TitanP setup that I do things like gaming on.

So I got another standard Xp to enable me to run 4 way SLI.

That surprises me. Given the cards look different I would have thought they'd let customers buy one of each.

They lifted some of the restrictions but going forward SLI in the drivers will only be optimised for 2 cards and no resources spent on 3 or 4 way outside of desktop application use i.e. compute.
