Its already come. They have basically said that their view on the matter is somewhat different but they are entitled to their "feelings".

The royal equivalent of "I'm sorry that you feel that I hurt you".

I think Williams outburst was probably because most people don't like their whole family being accused of racism without a shred of evidence, especially when its by your brothers wife.

You have to ask why they did the “interview” with her in the first place. It was unnecessary and entirely self serving and they picked someone who would let them say whatever they wanted without cross examination.

Since Oprah was at the wedding and apparently she'd only met her once before you have to ask how much of her media coverage was planned in advance, maybe not in the fairytale, hollywood style she envisoned it to be but she had her eye on the media spotlight for sure one way or the other and sure as heck guaranteed a sympathetic ear.

Not like the Royals don't have vast private estates like Sandringham and Balmoral... or indeed tend to use say Windsor Great Park where a certain Frogmore Cottage is located.
 
I agree the DM is a rag - however that article (ignoring the bias in places) does highlight some obvious discrepancies - including the doctoring of supposed racist UK newspaper headlines, the harry bike riding thing, the contradictory discussion around Archies title, the money being "cut-off", the clearly false claim about having her passport seized etc etc

Seems like the whole interview was a clear push for more PR for their "brand" - weirdly - at the expense of Harry's whole family (until he later excused Queenie and grandad Phil)

Cant see much of a way back for him now after this but presumably he isnt bothered.
