Anyone else having issues getting on KSP forum ?
yes, on my ipad and iphone it says security certificate is wrong and stops it from loading. Ok on the pc though.
Anyone else having issues getting on KSP forum ?
either set up action group, or right click and deploy, although you need electricity.
if your out of power you can eva and get your kerbal near them then right click.
so 0.18.1 is out, however i cant update as always, so have to download the full game again?!
So, inspired by .18 (and not at all by seeing Apollo 13 a couple of days ago) I've been doing my best to create kerpollo, i.e. 3 stage launcher, escape tower, Lem under the command module until I'm on a mun intercept then undocking swinging the CM round and redocking, and having a 2 stage lander with a descent module left on the surface of the Mun.. What I'm curious about is a free return trajectory (Which they used up to Apollo 11, then changed to a hybrid from 12+). I haven't had much luck though, anyone have a reliable way to set up a free return trajectory with the Mun?
As far as I can work out, the gravity doesn't work like reality, I think the ship doesn't feel any gravitational effects from the Mun until it enters it's SOI, and and while it's in the Mun SOI it doesn't feel any gravity from Kerbin. Am I miles off the mark?
Something like this image is the trajectory I'm after. I realise that this image is simplifying by having the moon and earth static, but you get the idea.
Imaged Snipped:
I tried the update but it told me I have 70+ corrupt files and so on. Find that hard to believe having only installed the game at the weekend! (new pc build)
Will just grab the manual update at some point.
That's all the mods, despite what it says, it will delete all mods and any edited files. so basically you have to start all again.
Good thing I didn't get to far into my space station.
grrr patcher is failing and on website I can only see where to download patcher, where do I download the fullgame?
Are you sure?
It said I had 700+ Corrupt files, when I tried updating. An I am a Purist.I think the Squad up-dater is having an identity crisis.

You\'re going to have to do some math for this one.
You\'re going to have to decide how far apart in phase you want your satellites, and work out the orbit that puts you back at the Kerbin-Synchronized altitude that far ahead or behind your target.
Say you want three satellites at 120-degree intervals. It\'s actually easiest to do this if you bring all three satellites at once.
Get yourself into Kerbin-Synchronous orbit, at 2868.4 km altitude. Drop the first satellite.
Now you want to drop the next one 120 degrees behind. You\'ll want to be back where you are now in 4/3 * the Synchronous orbit period, or eight hours. Grabbing an orbit calculator and doing some quick calculations, that means an apoapsis altitude of 4335.6 km for a periapsis of 2868.4.
Burn to put your apoapsis at that distance, orbit once, then when you get back into the Synchronous orbit, circularize. The first satellite is now 120 degrees ahead of you. Drop the second satellite.
Burn to push your apoapsis out to 4335.6 km again. Go around again. Circularize again. Drop the third satellite. You now have three satellites at 120-degree intervals. For now, anyway
