Kerbal Space Program

So much yes :D

That looks like the interior of the Hitchhiker Module.
If it is, I'll seriously be using it much more. :D

I see this is on steam now :)

Yes it is: http://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/
Great times.. Meaning almost instantaneous updates.
It takes Squad 20 Minutes to compile a build, an have it on the Steam Servers. That's how quick the Steam platform is... :D
Plus it saves a ton on wasted bandwidth; From downloading 440MB (Per Build) too 10+ MB (For Basic update)

Not to mention with nearly 5 Million Players on Steam Daily. Kerbal Space Program, has the potential to reach a whole new Solar System of customers. ;)

Well it's currently the top selling indie game on Steam, so it's off to a good start! :D

I'm guessing you can't register previously bought versions of Kerball on steam ?

would be a lot quicker tahn the self patcher

Rumor mill says they'll be sending out emails with steam codes "at some point in the future".

^^ woop -thanks Permabanned that would be nice of the team :)

Q: If I've already bought the game on the KSPStore, can I switch over to Steam?
A:
The answer to that is Yes, but not right now. We are going to set up a system on our store where you'll be able to get a Steam key for KSP provided you already have purchased the game. However, we are still working on the exact details of this feature, so it'll likely be a while until that's set up. We'll of course let you know when that becomes available.

Yep it was at 4 the other day,

Got a super sonic plane all the way to duna, to discover air breathing engines don't work, now have to stick it on a bigger rocket to get it to laythe, which seems to be the only other planet air breathing engines work on.

I apologise in advance, no doubt it's been answered but it's a HUGE thread...
Now it's on steam, can we link our copies to steam or will I need to buy another copy?
Dude, it's been answered on this page :p

is it sad that im thinking of buying on steam as well? The amount of hours ive got out of this game it deserves more money.....

I am failing to get my rocket into orbit now that it has a heavy Muna lander on my nose... Can someone show a picture of q basic rocket that will land on Mun and get back? Pretty please?

As much as I love KSP, an also considered buying a secound copy originally from there Store.
Why would you buy another copy from Steam; Especially as they intend to convert keys in the future.

Perhaps buy a copy, an gift it to a friend, via Steam.
Making some ones March/April extra enjoyable, or give it to some one on the Overclockers Forums... :)

My current tactic is to launch the lander into orbit by using up all it's fuel including the fuel necessary to navigate to Muna, land, take off and return to earth. After that I launch a refuelling rocket into orbit to rendezvous and refuel the lander.

I've no idea how well this will work in reality. My unmanned rover made it to Muna without needing the extra fuel but these kerbals on my manned lander weigh quite a chunk more :)

I've also neglected to mention to them that the unmanned lander tipped over sideways on landing and then proceeded to a fiery end when I attempted to right it.

I put some pictures below of a basic rocket with a lander ontop it should get you to the moons orbit drop off the lander then maybe have enough fuel to get back to kerbin (although no parachutes for reentry).

How i fly it is go straight up till after the first stage drops then ever so slightly turn it towards 90 degrees you may need to use RCS at this point it will start spinning rapidly make sure SAS is on.

After the second stage is jettisoned it should be stable here you basically tilt more to 90 degrees and watch the map and wait till your AP is about 100k when it reaches 100k cut engines then fast forward time till about a minute before then burn pro grade to get an orbit going.

When you have an orbit use the flight planner to get a intercept with the moon, when you have a moon orbit launch the little lander and attempt to land it. Included some pictures below and a .craft file of the ship.

A very basic rocket for getting to the moon tested it just before with the lander and i managed to get it into moon orbit with about 50% fuel left in the tank W00L5Na.jpg

Included a craft file as well to have look at and try. Simply drop it in ships folder > VAB in the KSP folder. (right click save link as)

Following on, got my eyes set on mars now. Launched up a two stage rocket (lander + main tank), assembled them in space and docked with my Earth station for refueling
