Harsh but true,

She took massive dose of MDMA.

Yup because it was illegal she couldn't go to boots and buy a sensible dose of well made regulated taxed E for a couple of quid, so instead of win win for society we get multi lose for society and especially her family, what a great way to run things.

hard one to call dude,

Most people can't even control themselves enough to stop reaching for a snickers bar, just imagine if E was legal.

People would go around frying their brains.

errr? she bought very high quality mdma then took masses of it.

if shed of got it from boots shed have had a similar percentage purity (need binder for the pill) and taken the same amount, or more as she could have afforded more, and died anyway.

just like those shops sell those well made regulated and taxed bottles of alcohol with dosage instructions on the back, that everyone consumes in sensible doses?

wait **** that;s not what happens is it?

whether people chose to consume it in healthy doses or not the govt does regularly publish health information regarding consumption guidelines and it is sold with the alcohol content clearly labelled - you can choose to consume it in moderation

yes which was my point. she took a huge dose and died would have happened if it was legal or not. it was not the fault of the drug being illegal it was thew fault of her being an idiot.

try reading the quoted posts before you try to argue against the very point your making.

banning it will just drive the price up, it wont stop people doing what they do
once the price goes up criminal gangs will get involved in bringing it into the country
just let people do what they choose to do ffs.....

*not read most of thread*

Not sure what all the brouhaha is over this..
Khat is banned in the vast majority of countries and is renound for causing its users to be extremely violent or zombies. Neither of which are considered particularly desirable traits the last time I looked.

I suppose I can see the freedom of choice argument about this but making the assumption the 90% of the comments in this thread have been made my people that have never actually heard of the drug, let alone taken it before is quite droll.

But she would have been far more likely to be informed of the right amount to take, and therefore almost certainly be alive today.
