Kids these days, eh?

However you will note I didn't ask if I could drown them.

Not explicitly, but then that begs the question what punishment were you implying this was a suitable response to use? That they have to swim back to shore? :p

There's a long and well proven link between animal cruelty and continued violence in adulthood. Sadly leopards rarely change their spots.

Which, armed with this knowledge, does ask the valid question what does a (supppsedly) civilised society do with potentially dangerous antisocial children?

So far the option of throwing them in the sea and if they drown its nothing to do with me mate does seem to lack a bit of nuance, so I'm up for other options.

So...should we not save the world from potential innocents suffering? The future awaits...

Oh god no, I’m not suggesting doing nothing - only that drowning kids might not be seen as your best, first suggestion.

In office speak, let’s put that idea on the back burner, just for now, and maybe look at some other more achievable options first. :p

I never said how far out to sea. I think people are perhaps applying their own biases to this. Maybe they should be on lists ey Maggy?

As for what to do, very valid question as the softly softly approaches taken so far don't seem to be too effective.

You still haven't answered what you meant by it, what punishment was it supposed to infer?

Effective at what? Stopping it happening in the first place or dealing with the children so they don't go on to do worse things? (Genuine question)

This is still decades if not centuries away but I would guess humans will end up being screened before they can have kids and genetics will be understood more clearly. A bit like Hitler's family tree not having any more kids.

This is where endgame will be for society if we ever manage to get there before killing each other.

Removal from the genepool ;)

Neither. It's not an effective deterrent in either sense, hence the existence of this thread and some of the horrendous actions of children within.

Does anyone have this where you live?

Driving down a residential road and get teens jump right in front of you either on bike or on foot. Then stop n dawdle. Ask them nicely could they move to go past. They FO at us.

It’s not clever, it’s dangerous and bloody stupid

No, but have them walk out in front of you, wearing a hoody with earphones in and looking at their phone. They are oblivious to everything around them.
