Kids these days, eh?

2 insane killings of children in one town and both committed by Eastern Europeans (well, one was the child of two Polish immigrants).

Sure it's just a coincidence.
Well since the rate of murder in Poland is lower than here I cannot see any validity to the argument that it is somehow inherent, so there must be a more general issue either that area of the country that drags people down.

Look at our most over represented demographic for murder in this country.

Then look at the size of that demographic in Poland.

probably due to our pathetic sentences where you kill someone and your probably out in 3-5 years.
wasn't there a woman recently who killed her own baby and she got off scot free after shaking him to death

Why would harsher sentences ever stop crimes of passion?

No.

The BBC.

The other I am attempting to find again, it was a research paper out of some university.

It's not 3.5% changing the world, it's a clickbait headline, by the BBC.

3.5% of the population being active participants.

The article specifies that 3.5% of the population being active participants in protests are indicative of vastly more who support it without taking part in active protests. Says it right at the bottom so you need to read the whole article and they get their full clickbait value.

I wonder if there was beef between parents and him etc and the girl ended up getting killed. Guess we’ll find out more but what ever it was, it would have had nothing to do with her.

I hope this is the case in a sad way as even though a lot of messed up stuff has happened here recently it always had a motive between people who knew each other.

The worrying part is when someone does it out of the blue due to being unstable which I was fearing to be the case. It then plays on your mind if it is safe to go out. Partly the reason I absolutely detest going to London. Way too many crazies.

As the police have now moved this girl's parents and siblings to a secret location for their own safety, I am beginning to wonder if the parents might be involved in some sort of organisation running immigrant workers brought to the UK, and they have failed to meet their agreements? The man charged with murder allegedly claims it was a dispute over wages. Just a hunch...

Or he just worked in their shop *I don't know if they have a shop...

I've no idea if they literally have a shop. I just can't understand why you've gone worst-case scenario with the people smuggling idea. The protective custody side of things points to something odd going on admittedly.

Actually I never mentioned people smuggling, but of course you have brought up a highly feasible scenario. The people in my hypothetical instance could all be here legally, but unpaid for work done.

If you are implying that my post means immigrant workers are all here illegally then your reading comprehension needs addressing. Someone can perfectly legitimately organise a gang of immigrant workers to come over, arrange transport and accommodation and pay them as a group.

That's fair enough, I had misread. I assumed you were implying it when I initially read it.

Nothing confirmed but what I've heard in the last few days is the mother of the little girl worked in some kind of recruitment agency and sacked the killer.
I walked past the murder scene on saturday bringing my kids back from the park, so horrible to see. Hundreds of bunches of flowers.
