Killing Floor 2

Was listening to Totalbiscuit on the commute this morning.

I'm in 2 minds, while this game is a definite buy for me, I'm not sure if I want to buy early access. I'm afraid I'll get bored with only 4 classes and limited selection of weapons.
Also does anyone know what happens at the end of early access, are perks reset?

I do love the sound of how they're handling difficulty.

Im in the same position as I'm not a fan of early access at all and I'd rather have the finished product which the devs even talked about 6 months down the line in the totalbiscuit video. It'll be difficult, but I think I'll wait!

It does look great but I'll wait. There's something to be said about getting quickly bored with early access games due to lack of content and that feeling carrying over to release. I also think established companies doing early access is a bit distasteful really. I associate early access with providing funds to create something that otherwise wouldn't have existed.

Not only that it can create a take the money and run scenario with minimal effort cost being put in to developing the game like day z.

The gameplay looks exactly the same as the first one. There doesnt seem to be anything added to increase the longevity.

I got bored with KF1 quick, I have no doubt I would get bored with this quick too.

I know its the games style, but damn, a little more creativity devs.

Like the look of this and enjoyed Killing Floor 1, however this looks very very similar to the last on and they can go take a running jump on early access as Tripwire are plenty big enough and should be releasing a finished product before asking the punters to line their pockets.

I'll probably only get this if there are those hacked 100+ player servers again. Those were hilarious on KZ1. Insane amounts of zombies and bosses that had so much health they would sometimes defeat 50 players.

Not sure I'll be bothered if we only see 6 player co-op servers.

They said the gore was increased, with sections of skull flying off etc. I haven't seen this in the videos, it just looks like "oh the heads come off" and move onto the next.

I managed to get my hands on a early access key and have been playing it for a few days - Sections of heads do fly off, sections of arms, torsos.. everything.

It's actually very similar to L4D2 (in terms of gore)

It definitely does. I managed to punch the top of a Zeds skull, it came flying off in pieces and exposed the brain - I then shot the brain and it flew out in chunks.

Oh god I remember those.... sooo much fun! :D

10 dudes with rocket launchers all opening up on the Patriarch and him just shrugging them off like hits from a spud gun, hilarious!

And unrestricted amounts of pipebombs... yeah... that works for me... :p

The early days of fleshpound mutator being white listed and unrestricted pipe bombs was also awesome. Running around London with all demos and FPs was immense.

Ah man nice one. How on earth did you get one ? Ive been trying for a couple of days to get one but no luck so far :(

If anyone gets a spare key i would be ever so grateful to have it if at all possible :D

I entered that pc gamer give away on the 9th and they had like over 7000 keys.
Did not have any time to try get a key before as was working stupid hours lol

7000 keys and like 140,000 entries, was insane. I didn't get one either. Oh well I can wait, I'll probably wait before sinking a lot of time into it, knowing in early access they're going to do multiple resets.
