Seems like a fair few important people on twitter are talking about Renault announcing Kimi as one of their drivers for 2012. Very interesting!

Seems like a shame for Bruno, especially considering his decent performance this weekend.

renault would say anything for publicity after last years bs i cant see him going there even if that windsor **** claims it.

least not forget that american racing team con he was involved in

Not yet, supposedly to be announced shortly...

To me it makes sense though, Petrov has hardly set the world alight, and I can imagine the team would want a proper lead driver with a proven record, and potential to compete for wins.

Literally everybody is tweeting it though...

Wouldn't be the first time something that was completely fictional got blown out of proportion on Twitter.

That's the downside to Twitter, it's all too easy for total falsehoods to spring out of nowhere and become virtual fact.

Would certainly be a better option than Williams based on this years performance.

So it'd be Kimi and Petrov/Senna/Grosjean/whoever else? :p

I read something about Kimi wanting to buy a share in an F1 team, not sure how true that was but perhaps that is what put the skids on the Williams deal and opened it up for Renault/Lotus?

Yeah I know but there's a difference between a couple lonely voices and the whole F1 paddock tweeting about it :p

Williams HAVE to go forward........Renault have been going backwards of late :D

Be nice to consider Kimi and Kubica in 2013 - far better driver lineup than the car really deserves though :(

Cant see Petrov been forced out considering he seems to bring in more money than Senna does?

ps3ud0
