Lolwut? 'cos everyone in old times was stoopid.

Note the word 'may' in your quote. A young man with few prospects, from a small village, with little experience of other cultures or people? Seems entirely plausible.

Very much looking forward to getting this on Epic, bit worried my rig is going to take a thrashing at 3440x1440. May have to tweak those overclocks :D

If they're below your level they're really quite easy to do. Just need to unlock the master thief perk for almost all low grade locks to open instantly!

Thanks i'm just too lazy to do the basic ones myself :)

Mine gets about 40 fps at 4k with high details but feels too sluggish, dropped to 1440 and solid 60 fps and feels so much smoother

Oh indeed, but this view is pretty common nowadays and probably not terribly accurate. Being a commoner didn't necessarily mean you were dumb and lacked common sense. I suspect this was just the character of Henry in this case, not some generalisation from the Devs that blacksmiths and those from common stock were dumb.

You'll also need a quite fast/good SSD type of drive to avoid long loading times and stutters. HDD was the slowest for me, then I've played on Kingston SSD which improved things, but still got stutter or frame drops in busy areas; now with a m2 (still sata) those are gone almost all of them.

With visual settings, dropping shaders and shadows to medium helps the most with minimum visual quality lost (if any).

Henry is not dumb either. He is a bit naive at the start, but the character develops. He is one of the most likeable RPG protagonists ever.

My gaming drive is a WD black NVME, on an aquacomputer PCIE x4 card. Do you reckon this would be ok?

Dumb was probably a poor choice of words I'd agree

I have the game on Evo 970 NVME and there are zero stutters, loading takes about 5 seconds. And after the initial load, there are zero loadings in the game afterwards, everything is seamless. What does take time is sleeping/fast traveling, but that is due to the game simulating all AI properly without shortcuts in the background, unrelated to disc drive speeds.

Awesome, thanks chap :D

So, this masterpiece is now free on EGS. Any first timers?

I recommend playing with hardcore mode enabled if you are not sissies, and to get the DLCs since they are designed to be played during the game, not after it.

May aim to look into the dlcs one day, maybe when I upgrade my graphics. For now, I'm happy enough to have completed the regular game. Just hated the monastry, though perhaps with a better understanding it might not be quite so bad.
