Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

Seriously how do you pick locks?? I broke all my picks trying to do the first quest, found a way around it. I did not realize until I snapped them all otherwise I would have had some snapps and practiced! using xbone pad.

Haha Dan Vávra (creative director) was on national TV this evening and said that Josh Sawyer told him that if Kingdom Come is a success, he thinks about leaving Obsidian to start his own company to make historical RPG :D
He is huge history nerd in the best way possible.

Anthony Davis from Obsidian Entertainment also likes the game apparently:

I played and streamed it last night and enjoyed the hell out of it.

I thought the cutscenes were great, the VO acting was awesome. The combat was a little clunky for me at first because it does require some tactical thought and skill, and I tend to button mash. Once I got used to it, I loved it.

My only two minor quibbles for me:

1. the load times... I will move this game to my SSD.
2. the lock picking mini game with keyboard and mouse is tough for me. I feel like it's so tough I must be missing something.
3. clothing seems to disintegrate almost overnight. By the end of doing my chores and boxing the drunkard Kunisch, my clothes looked like rags (which was also awesome). It actually reminded me of the 60 fps bug in Dark Souls 2 where equipment degraded twice as fast because of the framerate.

Speaking of boxing the drunkard, once I figured out the unarmed boxing stuff, I wanted to keep beating Kunisch but he eventually went to sleep and I never saw him wake up again. I even loved the run home to mommy cutscene to get patched up after Kucinsh pounded my ass the first fight.

Great atmosphere and great tension. It's hard to break decades of RPG habits where I walk in to NPC houses and steal anything that isn't nailed down. Walking into a private home in this game is likely to get you thrown in jail - and stealing, wow.

This game is pure incline and anyone who says different is either a troll, or a potato with a crappy machine.

Born 2 Kill, would that still work with the current release? I tried Reshade but had issues. Whenever I spoke to someone/had a cutscene I'd get this mix of grey and black for a second or two.

When you start you first fist fight for the cash? Keep landing hits until you stop and a cutscene appears.

Done that fairly easily, the guard as you've just finished the cut scene after escaping. In the end, I just legged it. Which makes it odd, as when you grab a horse, I saw the woman being attacked and did nothing as I knew I couldn't defeat them.

Yet, in a dialog later with the lady who comes to your bedroom in the night (oi oi), Henry even mentioned saving her!?

Dunno then sorry, my memory is up the creek on specific things. You back down from one guard, and surrender and that should do it. I know you meet with the other guys near a house after that.

However I found some lodgings, and enjoying a meal with the boys before getting some much needed rest.

Just an FYI, I installed this on a HDD to start with, horrible texture pop in and really slow load times... Put it on a SSD and it's night and day. SO much faster. No real change to FPS though.

When you coming past to get the horse they then follow you, hence leaving the miller girl chance to escape. They are the one chasing you on horse and shooting an arrow in your leg.

On a seperate note, haggel all the time, it increases your speech skill if you interested in that. :P

Anyone playing this on a AMD 290 gfx card. How does the card handle it?

I play it on 5280x1050, medium, with textures, physics, water and vegetation on max (draw distance and the other sliders on medium or a bit lower). Looks great! I have around 30fps +/-, quite nice, no stutter.
In lower resolutions should be just fine.

You can lie to her as an option iirc.
