Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

Hoping I'll get a couple of hours to get back on this, finished the opening village bit but feel like I missed out on loads of stuff think I'm going to go back and redo.

Going to try the FPS things and see if there is a nice reshade out yet.

Do you have problems saving while sleeping? Although I slept, it doesn't save my game everytime I do it. Does this work only in certain situations and if so, do you know which?

Same. Having read and watched people say that sleeping in your bed will save, it doesn't happen. That's alright by me if that's the case and the info was wrong, but it's been said so many times that I'm thinking perhaps my game is bugged.

I play it on 5280x1050, medium, with textures, physics, water and vegetation on max (draw distance and the other sliders on medium or a bit lower). Looks great! I have around 30fps +/-, quite nice, no stutter.
In lower resolutions should be just fine.

Thanks mate.

He likes it for the most part but doesn't shy away from issues later in the video.

For the size and ambition of the game and the fact that this is an indie studios first game, the bugs actually make me laugh. I'm about 8-10 hours into the game and only experienced maybe 2 bugs. Even then the bugs were not game breaking, more comedy graphical glitches.

It'll be a huge shame if this game doesn't do well. It feels a landmark in RPG gaming. Atmosphere, world building, RPG elements all amazing. I had to learn to read! Just brilliant. There is also something about the draw distance and viewpoint that makes looking off into the distance feel very realistic. More so than any game I have played. It's got a lot of bugs and combining that with the way the game wants you to save can be frustrating but it's RPG heaven so far.

Oh god, this game... It's a time sink!

Now I'm in the main city, sold off some loot I had, realised the 170 coins I have is NOTHING. Spoke to the alchemist and paid my debt as I want to get friendly so I can haggle decent prices with him early on as I intend on potion making.

Bought a dagger and realised it's useless until I get the perk, was only 18 coins anyway. Repaired my sword by my self, cool mini game and makes sense... Was about to delve into talking to the scribes to learn to read but I just noticed it's gone 2am (here in California)... This game is dangerous.

The game is clunky, awkward and it's a killer on my machine. Around 45fps in the country and dips down into the 20's in large cities at ultra settings @ 1440p. Doesn't bother me, this isn't a game where FPS is king. I just need to upgrade my PC. The combat, oh wow the combat, what an amazing system!

One thing it reminds me of, is Witcher 1, not in gameplay, but in polish. It's roots were showing of greatness but a lot of work needed to be done. Hopefully this studio follows the same footsteps and their next game will be leaps and bounds better technically.

Sleeping in my bed in the mill has always and still is saving my game. Sounds like you two have a bugged game.
I couldn't sleep during the prologue whilst in a 'mission' it kept saying I didn't have time to sleep. Made the missions difficult especially the last one in the prologue.
Andi.

Gronbek, yes open world and yes lots to do.
Visit a tailor, bath house, butcher, lodging, baker and browse the goods.
Steal a horse. (Different horses have different stats)
Enjoy the rain and 24 hour cycle.
Equip and layer armour for protection or style.
Practice archery.
Hunt wild animals and sell the meat.
Steal if you can get away with it and sell the goods far away because people nearby will recognise them.
Every action increases skills somewhat too..

Picking up flowers etc increases Herbalism EXP.

Kills with a bow increases archery EXP.

Thats the levelling system.

Clothes and armour get bloody, dirty and torn which effects peoples views on you. But if you smell enough you cannot sneak as well lol... because youre stinky. Very very in depth.
So so much going on in this.

Sod it getting this today...I can resist no longer...everything I've seen is everything I want in an RPG...ok u can't take a poop but there's always mods. Love that u are not the centre of everything and quests can fail v easily if u don't attend to them.
