Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

This world is absolutely blowing me away. The forests, streams, dirt paths and wide open fields leave me speechless at times. I could take hundreds upon hundreds of screenshots, every turn i make is a screenshot worthy of any screenshot thread. And ive no idea how im able to get 70ish fps with very high settings at 1440p with all this incredible flora being renderes. Its nuts just walking through these forests with the sun shining through the trees, the streams and bird noises in the background, its so immersive.

Ive not been this impressed by a game world in so many years. Game is a 9/10 for me, the only thing holding it back from being a 10 are a few bugs, but nothing game breaking.

Combat now ive met the right person feels blinking fantastic, its so tasty feeling.

Do you have problems saving while sleeping? Although I slept, it doesn't save my game everytime I do it. Does this work only in certain situations and if so, do you know which?
I was sleeping in the wrong bed in the mill - sleep in the one that's straight on front of the door in the room with the boiling pot in it. The bed on the left doesn't save for me.

Oh those games! Well Rick the community manager and a marketing guy liked my pic on twitter, feels good :)

Got some elbow armour and a helmet. Badly need greaves!

Really tempted to pick this up after Mack's review.
But keep meaning to get back into Witcher 3, though I probabely havn't played it in nearly a year.

Sleeping in my bed in the mill has always and still is saving my game. Sounds like you two have a bugged game.

Oh balls. I'm sleeping in the mill so it does sound bugged.

Does it matter which bed maybe? I can't recall which one is 'mine' so that may be it?

I think if it's your bed (ahead and to the right and NOT the one to the left), it saves. I've slept in another bed in a city and it didn't saved. I had to test it more toroughly though. It's a rather bad idea to not be able to sleep/save in each bed and feels even more artificial since you can save just by drinking something....

Hoping I'll get a couple of hours to get back on this, finished the opening village bit but feel like I missed out on loads of stuff think I'm going to go back and redo.

Going to try the FPS things and see if there is a nice reshade out yet.
Unless you already past this part again and interested in earing coins and some stat on Herboligist and Strength. Pick all the plants in your home village, sell them to the merchants and you have a nice capital, but most important raised some stats. Of course, that is if you can manage to live through the constant animation of bending down and picking plants. :p

In regards to plants, picking the nettle plants gives a hidden perk as well after a while. ;)

Picking up flowers etc increases Herbalism EXP.
You played more then me so probably know about it, but thought I mention this, just incase others not aware of it. There is a perk you can pick in Hebalism, that also will effect your stats in Strength, from all the bending down and picking the plants.

Sod it getting this today...I can resist no longer...everything I've seen is everything I want in an RPG...ok u can't take a poop but there's always mods. Love that u are not the centre of everything and quests can fail v easily if u don't attend to them.
If you not started yet, pick plants IF you want extra stats and coinage.

How does one acquire a horse? I had the one at in the prologue but now I find I'm having to run around on foot.
Not sure where you are but until the end of prologue you have the horse you stole to get to the second city, it still there for you when you have to leave the place. Unfortunately can't use the horse to store things. :p

This game has got my interest. It's been a long while since I've had a decent RPG to get stuck into.

-Can you quicksave?
-Is it best played with a controller?
As others have said, no quicksave but you can sleep and drink schnapps. Also, when you get quests it seem to do auto saves. If you grabbing the mod from Nexus beaware that for now it seems to be a limit of 300 saves, hopefully that will be sorted though.

I am struggling with lock picking, it's almost impossible!

Use mouse and keyboard for them if you're not already. Ive not failed one in a long time using that control method.
Also, if using mouse, I read the turning down the sensitivity of the mouse will help with the lockpicking.

On another note, part form the personal chest you get later, can you put stuff in other chests and it be there later for collection ??

Isn't it only saviour schnapps rather than any drink? I've been waiting until being able to buy/brew the schnapps!

had a wee play around. Liked the sword fighting and fist fighting.

at 1440p getting around 45 - 65 fps at very high for everything except i turned shadows down a tad. Looks good and feels good except i have a weird freezing bug that happens every 10 or 20 seconds (screen freezes) Which is odd. Game is on my ssd. Could be my graphics driver 382.50 which is oldish so i might try updating that.

What fov you reckon is best? (playing on tv/projector)

Game seems v good so far it has that addictive factor.

If you not started yet, pick plants IF you want extra stats and coinage.

yeah i will restart and do that thanks. I did try and just go for a run miles away but wall all around town so you cant just say sod it to the entire plot haha.

Yeah, the first couple hours you are bit restricted, can't even sleep in your home village but luckily the time seems to go quiet slow while you there. :p Just save one of the quests that "dad" gives you to last, he even mentions why, and then spend a couple hours picking plants Yes, boring but can always watch something else while picking them.

In regards to FOV, bit restricted but can use console command to change it. ** If someone want a bit wider FOV, use the console and type: CL_FOV 90 .. Or what ever number you want. ** I am using 90 on my 34 inch 21:9 monitor myself.
