Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

As someone who doesn't usually like the RPG genre at all (prefer much faster paced games) I'm pretty hooked on this. It feels like I'm doing next to nothing at the moment and I should really be bored, but I can't help but keep playing. Struggling to do the main quests though, because I keep bumping in to people who give me side quests which don't take as long so I've done a few of those so far. I've inadvertently done some tasks a much sneakier way which has been quite amusing at times.

Running at above 50FPS most of the time with a mixture of medium and high settings which makes the game look alright, but not brilliant in places. Sadly I think my biggest limitation at the moment is the fact that I have Steam installed on a HDD rather than my SSD, so I can hear my HDD frantically working away constantly trying to load things. There isn't enough space for my current Steam games on the SSD and I'm not in a position to buy a 1TB SSD to replace my 1TB HDD at the moment so I'll have to grin and bear it for now. 2500K is doing well, but I think I should look to upgrading CPU and RAM in the future once everything else stops costing me money.

Game is utter trash...... Most boring game ever, why do I want to learn how to fight, read and horse ride.....

Looks nice and runs well though.

Assassins creed unity and origins pees all over this

Simple minds appreciate simple things. Sadly you're to young to know a good game mate as youve been brainwashed into modern button mashing zomg gaming generation with game design based so a 5 year old can play it. Tehehehe ;):p

Now go back to your pacman

I killed a shopkeeper in the dead of night as he slept by his window (used my bow) and reached in and stole his house keys. I then let myself in and murdered everyone else. The plan was to actually loot all the weapons but they pack them up in uber hard cabinets at the end of they day so not so easy. They did have keys to their trunks though which net some nice valuables.

I checked the scene of the crime the next moning and there's guards all about the shop. One of them wanted to search me. Since everything I'm wearing is stolen so I ran and they chased me all the way outside the castle. I tried to lose them down the side of a cliff but I jumped too far and died.

^^ haha that is epic. So it was like a crime scene? and you stroll up all casual like haha

Not sure if you serious or just having a joke but I bite. :p

In Assassins Origins (Creed unity not played so can't say) you are a seasoned warrior already. You know how to use a bow, sword and what not, so can jump straight into the fights without problem.

In Kingdom Come Deliverance you are a Blacksmith's Son, have barely no weapon training, part from a tiny bit you learned. So you have to learn how to use all kinds of weapons, how to read, ride and make potions, since you never done it before. Yes, might be boring for some but it is as it said on the tin, trying to be as realistic as possible. :p

@TonyTurbo78 this worth grabbing at full price mate?

Personally id pay 60 quid for it, but this is my kind of game. If you like a massive open world, an incredible engaging story (at least so far it is) a really good lead character, fantastic combat, non linnear quests, no hand holding, a dynamic levelling up system, mini games, insanely good visuals and the feeling of learning and being rewarded.....then hell yes.

Its turning into one of my greatest games of all time.

just got this today and
iv just ran from the castle and on my way to get a horse and found 3 soldiers pining this woman up so i did what any lad would do ran in sword swinging trying to save the woman and i got spanked they knew what they were doing with a sword i just seem to be swinging it with no hope and they are a lot faster at swinging it and do multi strikes
so my question is dose the combat get better with skill ie faster swing and flurry combos

As mentioned bit further up, yes your combat will improve as you learn more skills. That scene you come past is part of the "tutorial" part of the game (my own opinion) and you not really suppose to beat them, just distract them so they come after you instead.

Yeah kinda. A woman raises the alarm, after that the guards come in and roam the house, stand over the corpses moaning about the gravedigger not being there. I'm linked to the murders though so I ditched my victims clothes and donned some other stuff trying to get my conspicuous level as low as possible. When I return its good a disguise per say but if I linger too long they see through it and start chasing me again.

I've also noticed that dogs barks at me all the time now because I'm such a bad guy :(

If you get your stealth to level 10 there is a perk you can pick, Dog Person - Dogs won't bark at you. If you already have that, well then I can't help you. :p

Walking through the forests and fields after midnight sure is eerie. And that night sky  holy moses have they timelapsed a real nights sky or something? Even got the constallations up there in the correct places

Just such attention to detail.

Really starting to quite enjoy this, I quite like it's lax slow pace it feels - relaxing, storyline is simple but strangely gripping. I have to realise your crap at everything and you need to improve at everything then you don't become frustrated with the game and just the bugs. Saves suck ass though.

Yes I agree with you, lots of attention to details in the game. Thought I seen a post here quoting something from reddit but can't find it now, but here is what someone said over there, unless you not already seen it of course. :p

So i decided to stargaze on my first night after the prologue, looking North, and there they were, the big dipper and Polaris and all the stars that i would expect to be around those, altough it is slighty offset to the east as Polaris is not straight North but N-NE'ish. https://i.imgur.com/hQYClpT.jpg

I took the opportunity to grap Stellarium and check the night sky in Prague on the 1st of August 1403 at around midnight (the game is set in the summer) and yes, it matches perfectly, at least from what i check. I'll check for planets tomorrow, but we should be able to see Saturn and Mars low on the horizon side-by-side to the Southwest and Venus also low on the horizon to the NE, between castor and polux and and a partially visible Orion constellation.

Kudos Warhorse!
