Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

Just after credits just as you get rescued by Theresa you got a chest for life. Stash at the Millers but also at other bed save locations...it's trans dimensional ;)

Stash them in a chest somewhere and remember its location? I don't think things get nicked out of them or despawn. Play it safe and store them in one of the 'shared' chests that can be found by any bed you can sleep in to save game - the items within are 'shared' across the map with all such chests (or so the game claims, I've not tested it).

I'm still at the stage of the game where I have no clue which chests will still exist at some point in the future (or whether open world chests get raided by NPCs). I'm sure I'll figure out something as the game progresses.

Edit:

Once you get rescued by Theresa you got a chest for life. Stash at the Millers

Thanks :)

Anyone here with a 1070 at 1440p? How does the game run?

I run a 1080 at 1440p and surprisingly it's a lot smoother now (solid 60fps outdoors and between 40-60 in towns)

I still get freezes in towns but not as much as before weirdly enuff (no new patch)

Very high on everything except shadows and SMT else can't remember

Biggest performance hog is definitely the shader setting. Currently running that at high, shadows at high and everything else mostly ultra or very high. At 3440x1440 on a 1080ti and 5930k at 4.4 getting anything from low 40's to 75 which I'm capping my x34 to for this game.

Only messing around at the start of the game but it's ultra smooth and gsync performing well. Zero stutter or judder for me which is my biggest hate in games.

Top tip: make sure you run the Game full screen. My game is very flaky and will switch between full screen and borderless sometimes without me knowing and the performance is lower and juddery in borderless.

Also, anyone done or found some proper analysis with screenshots showing the difference between shader settings? I can't see any difference between ultra and high, although the FPS difference says there must be....

Also, I'm going to try messing around with the volumetric fog console tweak along with some reshade settings, probably some lift gamma gain tweaks and mxao to subtly combat the slight washing out that enabling vf causes

its called immersion and detail and a proper game for intelligent adults lamo, now go back to your games for 10 year olds and continue with that simple button mashing QTE BS :p:D

Was so excited to finish work 30 minutes ago to get home and settle down for the long haul today :). Mrs wont be home till 6:30pm, lets get stuck in again. :)

No it is called tedious pointless additions to try and make out that the game is something special when it really isn't :p

I would rather spend that time/effort wasted arranging my own ingredients and spices etc. and making some nice food IRL than in a game! :D :p ;)

If the game isn't for you, then why keep posting in here about it? Get a refund.

Bugger my horse just got killed while running from the big cuman/bandit camp .. can still access the inventory though which is funny

Can’t find any plants to make save schnapps apart from nettles any ideas ?

You need 1x nettle and 2x belladonna - the latter is pretty hard to find, at least in my experience, so whenever a trader or herbalist has some, I buy it all. That and herb of paris (for a poison), I just buy every time just in case.

This happens a lot, you went in on the cover alone. The graphics, the fact it's CryEngine (pun intended). Only to find it's actually an RPG as specified all along.

Stick with AC:Unity / Origins. I've put many hours into those games, too. But they're different on many levels. If you don't like the grind element that these games can often bring, then stick to Assassins Creed. Seems to work for my 8 year old. /Burn. :D

The fact that there's no buff element to any of the outfits in AC:O is lame, for example. You're literally just working for something that's superficial and offers nothing in the way of benefit.

Nah I didn't buy the game for the "cover", if anything, the setting for this game hasn't helped matters at all, I hate the medieval period..... Graphics are nice but seen better again.

So yeah setting not for me and game play/rpg element not for me either, just too much pointless faff for my liking, fallout 4 (loved this), witcher 3 (not really a fan of, did my head in having 20 minutes dialogue every time you interacted with a NPC and the clunky combat mechanics as well as pointless/stupid quests such as finding someones cooking pot, I mean really.......) and ACO are about my limits for "RPG" games (if you can even call ACO a RPG.....)

I like ACO/unity mainly for the settings and gameworld (just feels so immersive/alive, more so unity). Gameplay is fun but boring after 20/30 hours or so, story is half decent too.

As said, I was just winding Tony up as he went on to me about it being the greatest game ever :p If you like arranging your pot and spices, then sure..... :D ;) :p
