Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

What card would you go for with a budget of £299 tops? Cheers.
I would go for RTX 2060, like one of these

RTX 2060 is similarly fast as Vega 64, but is cheaper and offers raytracing (which is awesome in Metro Exodus).

And has 6gb of ram compared to vega 8gb. And can barely handle rtx raytracing on the lowest setting at 1080p at 60fps

Seriously though, looked at the benchmarks and at 1080p ultra rtx it gets 27fps on a 2060
A vega 64 peforms like a 2070 and has 2gb more ram than a 2060.

Actually if you turn off Ray Tracing and use only DLSS you can gain up to 50% performance in the 5 games that use DLSS.

Example:Anthem 4K 40% improvment goes from crap to playable.Would be same with RTX 2060 ,so if it is cheaper then buy it would be my suggestion.

dlss is terrible, 6gb is terrible, vega is faster than a 2060 and has more vram and is cheaper
You can't even tell someone what's the best deal for them anymore, nvidia (means envy in latin btw) have you all eating from the palm of their hands even when faster cheaper alternatives are available.
I give up
Enjoy your 2060

It baffles me too as to why people like to pay more for less!

Sooo, nephew plays this and has complained that his current gfx card isn't up to snuff and wants to upgrade.

If he hasn't already, let him play with shaders and shadows on medium. For minimal lost in IQ, if any, you get a huge boost in performance.

That is not true though, it runs Metro Exodus fine with raytracing in 60fps on high or even ultra preset.

Until he reaches the desert level, maybe.

In 1024x768?
In 1080p

But the cheapest Vega64 costs 80 pounds more than 2060, has similar performance (worse is some games, better in others) and doesn't have HW raytracing support. Sure it has 2GB more, but is that worth extra 80 pounds? I doubt it.

No, Caspian Sea also runs 1080p with high preset at 60fps on 2060.

Well, I have drops into the 80s with a rtx2080 in 1080p high plus 1st lvl of RT (other stuff enable, with the exception of DLSS). Now if 2060 is about 30% weaker, that would mean it would be moments when it drops below 60fps even on high. Never mind Ultra.

If you mean 60fps averge, then yes, could be.

On the other hand, it does look nice, like a proper game should look these days, but so does Kingdome Come without it.

Digital foundry did an analysis, RTX 2060 holds 60fps in most of the game with Raytracing to high in 1080p. In taiga there can be some drops so they recommend disabling tesselation to keep solid 60. But the point is, it is very well playable - and the lightning looks so much better that I would not want to play it without the raytracing. Fortunately with RTX2080Ti I could have used it.
Kingdom Come uses SVOGI, which is also pretty awesome, yeah.

I ******* hate Nvidia but DLSS is not terrible and gives more performance in games that have it,simple as that. Also the RTX 2080 I am using I paid $325 Less than GTX 1080TI and $300 less than VEGA64 and $260 Less than Radeon VII shall I continue with the stupid price things.
All dollars Canadian

Games that have it and support your card and your resolution, depends also on the FPS and perhaps even more. Useful if you're in that narrow band of people, other than that... marketing.

I am not trying to argue, this is not true with patches applied to games that support DLSS/RTX you can use any resolution 16:10/16:9/5:4/4:3/21:9 with DLSS/RTX of course I just double checked BF5,Anthem,Metro Exodus.Did not bother checking the other games.

Oh Some KDC screens

BF5,Anthem,Metro Exodus don't work with 5760x1080.
Metro I've tried a couple days ago in 1080p and wasn't working either. So no, not any resolution. :)

Best is just to look at how it performance in the most common scenarios where these features are not present, while the rest (if present and if are working and are implemented right), are just bonuses.
