apt usernameI've been eating them with the skin on for years. I even eat the stalks on the ends not matter how hard they are. I just thought it might be an extra bit of fibre.
Yes, I find that Polish people in general are quite forgiving when it comes to perverse eating habits.I too get weird looks when I eat the entire kiwi except the poles.
Sometimes i go fancy and scrape away the hairiness under a running tap with a spoon, but mostly i'm quite lazy!
I tried it and absolutely nothing like I expected. It actually is edible and no real flavour to it.I have been pointed to this by @aVdub and I suppose I will have to give it a go. I eat the skin on most fruit/veg (including mangoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, aubergine) but had never considered kiwi skin because of all the hairs. That being said, many women still go au-natural so maybe this isn't a leap too far

I cut the skin off my kids when I pack some in the school lunch and usually used to scrape the flesh off the skin and discard. Now I eat the "shavings" with the little bit of flesh on it. I think I will save myself some time in the future and just pack the (washed) whole fruit in the lunch boxes in the future. It seems it is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks
