Klopp Out Arne In

The weirdest thing is that there aren't really many steps up or even steps sideways. I assume Bayern is out so that pretty much leaves Barca and Real. Would he do PSG? Definitely less stressful but don't know if that would appeal to him. I suppose he could go back to Dortmund but that seems a significant step down for a manager still in his peak. It'd be like Salah going back to Roma.

Does he want a "step up"? He's always struck me as a project manager, who's enjoyed beating the bigger spending teams.

I could see him somewhere like Valencia, although I don't think that trying to rejuvenate Barca would be out of the question

Love him or hate him he's definitely a character.

And with other sports, they are becoming fewer and further between what with all the money about and PR teams and that.

If you watch his interview, he talks up the possibility that he won't manage again. In the past he's always ruled out managing in Spain due to the language barrier and communication being a huge part of his style of management. Obviously in his time out he could learn the language but if I were a to place a bet then I think he takes a year+ out then takes the Germany job and then that will be it for him.

If I had the money I'd be saying "Jurgen, have a year off on holiday, paid leave and then come back nice and refreshed".

"If you still don't fancy it, we'll give Big Sam a call, he seems keen."

I saw this coming.. he’d mention before I think about the mental toll etc and you can see it too.

Wish him the best in whatever he decides to do

Wouldn't be stunned to see him at Bayern to be honest; big loss for Liverpool and the league as a whole; not a Liverpool fan but always been an admirer of Klopp.
I expect the "new" boss is probably all but signed up already given the board have known since November; should be Alonso really

I suppose Alonso is the obvious choice and it makes you wonder when he's told the board in November he's going to do this, how many conversations has been held with different managers as a possible replacement.

Love the press conference where someone just asked him about Fergie saying he was stepping down at Utd, but changed his mind. Klopp was really surprised by that :D

Any chance you'd do that Jurgen? Sadly, no.

Its going to be tough for whoever comes in, the team is young enough and already gelling enough, that it doesnt need largescale changes so the next manager is possibly going to be burdened with the claim that they are winning (if they do) with Klopps team rather than their own

I think regardless of how our team is doing atm any one walking in after Klopp is gonna feel unreal pressure.

It might even put some young managers off initially if they feel the job is too much too soon
