** LAST ROUND OF DEALS FROM NVIDIA - LAST CHANCE BUY ON 1080/1080Ti!! **

I’m just hoping there are some of these left after the 2080 benches come out, or impartial benches. Then we’ll be able to really know if these are worth it

Will be a long time for anything truly impartial. Even the pre chosen, multi year NDA bound reviewers still don't have drivers, review date for 2080 been pushed back until Sept19th I think.

This paper launch has been the most dodgy, weird and disappointing ever. Nvidia the way your meant to be played.

My 980ti has been playing BF5 ok at 1440p so I don’t need to upgrade. It just feels like the sensible thing before it’s worthless (probably after the 7nm stuff comes out)

since you believe in myths do you also still believe in father christmas and the easter bunny? :D

Apple did it. It's only a matter of time until Nvidia explore new ways to push sales. Does it really take much stretching of the imagination, really?

Fanboys are indeed mythical creatures. God forbid someone says something which can construed as a Nvidia bad.

Why did you feel the need to be self righteous about it?

Because its a common myth that nvidia already do it, enough that several sites have felt the need to test it and found its not the case, e.g. is a myth, smiley face to show I was jesting, you know in a friendly banter kind of way, not a four letter starry kind of way

You weren't jesting, you hit back with a fanboy call to arms. Belittle opinion which conflicts with your own then attempt to take the moral high ground when it comes back to you.

See your pal above for confirmation.

Pretty AMD'esque in execution from presentation gaffs, **** ups, lack of performance info=lack of performance-and no, a graph with *faster at 4K is beyond vague if you ask me.

Nvidia the way your meant to be played.

Should be two review threads, one from partner reviewers and the other from non golden sample/drivers reviews that were bought and paid for their cards and free to test at whatever settings so we can get a real indicator of performance and not Nv's strict review setting guidelines.

I read yours as a light hearted dig at nvidia, I responded with the same intent, if you were being super cereal then I feel guilty for hurting your feelings.

yeah finally some sensible prices good job.

RRP for a product one & half years old isnt sensible. They can still be had for sub £600 if you look around. But really should be sub £500 now. Nvidia bending you all over. Best thing people can do is hold. By buying your all just reinforcing nvidia to hold their price.

If people think it's a fair price then they buy.
I might have caved at £500. At £600+ I'd rather just pick up a new gen card, personally and I'd be a bit concerned of resale value in 6-12 months when I'm fairly sure the new shiny would tempt me again. If folks keep for a long time to get £ worth out then still a decent buy for them
