Latest GT5 info

If it arrives Nov-Dec then it will give us time to play SHIFT, FM3 and DIRT, i wont mind a bit of a wait till then with so many other good racing games appearing.

They say that this cloak and dagger stuff is to not overshadow the PSP game, but I have my own thoughts on it, which I'll wait and see if it bears fruit or not (I hope not!)..

l'll believe a release date when the Collectors Edition starts coming up for pre-order. I mean, they're bound to have one!

I dont see fans of GT having to decide if they want to get the PSP version or the PS3 version.
If a poll was done i would think that those that own both PSP & PS3 would likely buy both. Not only that but the PSP market has huge potential with something like 50 million units hasnt it?

This is going to be possibly the biggest money making game(s) Sony will of had in a long time if not set a new record on each platform, my guess anyways.
Cant wait to TGS.

My thoughts (pure speculation from reading between the lines) is that PSP GT (Will be getting this as an aside) has really hit the development of GT5 and it's not in as good a state as we think it is, without getting into too much detail, I have a suspicion that if they release this year it will be a slightly cut down version (from expectation), or it'll be delayed until next year, and I still think it'll be a fraction short of the expectation, but still epic enough..
I won't go into detail of why I think that, but there is a lot of anecdotal evidence that doesn't add up, PD/Sony are acting as anyone would do if late/underperforming on a key project (and trying to bluff a bit), releasing half-truths and ambigious statements. Saying it's not to detract from the PSP version is quite naive, and certainly hasn't worked..

Of course, I'm happy to wait until TGS, assume it'll all come good, but I'm not getting too excited just yet..

Hopefully January will work, gives me time to have Dirt and Shift for a few weeks, 3 weeks of GT PSP then 3 months solid of FM3 :D

Defnitely going to have to grab a DS3 at the very least, unless anyone knows anyone who will actually make me a PS360 pad, as I can't stand the silly PS3 pad for driving games now :(

Misery guts ;)

(only because you are probably right on most / all counts)

September 24 - 27 :)

***** another 4 -5 weeks of waiting (for a mere anouncement)

I think its just more that PD release next to nothing about their games.
Frustrating as that is it doesnt make sense to assume the demo featured at gamescon is anything close to the point they are at with the game.

Their going to blow us away....
If they couldnt complete the game to the standard they wanted and they would have known their deadline appointed by Sony, they would have known about Slim and PSP GO. If you were forced to release a half assed damage or other part of the game not to the standard you wanted then you wouldnt of been doing the extra stuff that surprised us all like Nascar and WRC.
This game will be their best yet and its going to raise the benchmark, wait and see, wait and see.

Amar has updated his cryptic message we now can confirm 3 of the 6 winds:
What was the chances of him assuming 3 of these correctly on "Apr 16th of this year?"
It then can only increase the chances of the possibility other things he said may be accurate, too?

There are many winds blowing in the air right now, and every one of them is telling its own tale.

First wind whispers that final reunion will happen thirty nights before twelve months pass and that all winds from the whole world will reunite in the same moment for the first time.
---- UNCONFIRMED : Possibly Dec 1st Release - World Wide Release Window ----

Second wind says there will be more than half of dozen hundreds birds flying in the beginning of the reunion on almost eight dozen of skypaths, and some of the birds will come from the past reunion just resembling the looks of the newborn birds.
#2 More than 1000 cars, with many of cars being transferred from GT4. 20 tracks with 60 layouts

Third tale says that for the first time ever skypaths will not be just solid and already known but that new skypaths will be built by birdtamers from the parts of existing skypaths.
---- UNCONFIRMED : GT5 will allow track building, Note this one is a tale not a wind so could be false? ----

Fourth wind is talking that birdtamers will reunite in numbers greater than ever and will be granted with ability to talk to each other, make guilds and alliances with undisputed freedom.
#4 Online lobbies with Text/Voice chat options and Private Rooms

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.
---- UNCONFIRMED : Possible Special Edition with Included or free DLC at no extra cost later? ----

Sixth wind is telling the tale about different reunion but almost the same as known one, smaller only for the eyes of those who do not want to see it in its whole glory. That different reunion will not happen in the realm same as the known one, but in the different realm which still has not been uncovered to the birdtamers. That realm will resemble realm already known but it will be divine new and made in the image of it.
#6 Gran Turismo Mobile for the new PSP Go have become Gran Turismo PSP and it will be released on October 1st

All those birds, skypaths and birdtamers from all realms will unite for the Feast. And as it is already known, it will be the Feast of the Gods.

The optimist is firmly hoping for the big TGS reveal and am ready to be blown away, I'm just putting a lid on it until then!

Ben Heck might make you one ( http://benheck.com/04-14-2007/ps360-controller ) but i have no idea how much he would charge.

Failing that he did write a guide on how to make your own.
http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/01/how-to-make-a-ps360-controller/

I'd love one since i too share your dislike for the PS3 pad.

If anyone does decide to do one, and fancies helping a chap out, then feel free to contact me, sadly I don't have the tools nor ability to make that :(

Am I the only one now thinking that if this isn't by far the best driving game ever released, then it will be a massive kick in the teeth for PD?

Could well be, then again, Forza 3 and GT5 will both take lots of different aspects of the driving/racing world so they'll be comparable but not, as much as I'm a self confessed Forza fanboy nowadays, I really hope GT5 is stunning, amazing brilliant etc.. as I'll be buying that too :)

Will be interesting to see how generous PD would be with DLC down the line, too..

Am curious how there going to go about that, I mean, they could probably get away with charging for new tracks and cars (atleast, to say, some would pay it). Infact I wouldnt be all to suprised to see cash to credits to buy cars in game tbh.
