Latest GT5 info

looks a bit rubbish to me, usual bouncing off walls and the AI not making a single mistake and driving around the track in a long line.

When will they learn that the games needs these basic things sorting, forget about having 1000 cars and superb reflections get the basics right.

Why are people so bothered about wall bouncing?

The simple solution is, DRIVE PROPERLY!!! Try using the brakes to get around the corners, this is a Simulation game so treat it like one.

Exactly

Can't believe a fan of driving games could say they will wait until it £20. It looks fantastic and surely we have waited long enough already.

All sounds very good, but still no information on if they're going to have that silly time penalty for bumping or going over a chicanes:rolleyes:

Maybe its becasue its not the game thats the problem its the platform its on;)
If they actually watch the videos with the rally cars they hit the wall and spin out, also 2 other things
1) Its in ARCADE MODE
2) Its not the Finished product

Highlighted for those who havent read the rest of the thread or actually any of the previews around.

I honestly don't know why people get annoyed about the wall thing now. It's been in every other GT and I'm almost 100% sure it will be in GT5.

I think youve hit the nail on the head tbh, it has been in every GT game and its about time they sorted it out. Technology has moved on and many games do model visual and technical/mechanical damage and its about time the GT series caught up. Having said that id still swap crash damage for some half decent ai ;).

If they made it too realistic most people complaining wouldn't be able to finish a lap let alone a race, burying it into the wall would in reality result in retirement so being able to carry on with a crumpled up front end isn't that realistic either.

It's a fine balance between entertainment and realism that has put the Gran Turismo franchise where it is... should they go tampering with a winning formula?

personally i cant wait for this game...and private rooms so you dont need to play with idiots who like to play bumper cars sounds great.

im massive fan of this game and desperately need a new game... especially with the massive let down rtcw 2 was i dont have anything to really play. i still got my dfgt the one with the turning nob made for gran turismo lol...should be fun but il probably have to buy another wheel to support forza....bit silly having to buy 2 different wheels though.

For SP it doesn't matter much, you just don't use that technique.

But in MP wall grinding together with ramming and the lag that makes the opponents cars 'bounce' along the track spoils the experience.

I was a huge GT fan until GT4, which I never had time to finish due to other commitments, and I don't have a PS3 so don't have prologue, but so far GT5 is looking a little disappointing. I would have hoped that after all this time they could have implemented damage properly, rather than the limited model that seems to be being worked on now. I just hope the physics and feel of the cars, as well as the sound is a good as the visuals are. That and not having an americanised irritating menu system like most new games do.

Hell, if it turns out to be one of the best car sims ever I might even splash out on a PS3 'slim'.

Im not even sure it was announced that this was by any means final code?

One thing i find still lacking is with these great graphics why the heck hasnt GT added tyre marks to the tracks.

Damage and wall riding etc, do you guys criticising this want damage to be pure realistic because a 40mph crash could write off the car and that would wouldnt that kinda ruin the gameplay a little?

This is what I keep thinking. I just get the feeling that a lot of people are just complaing for the sake of complaining.

I am looking forward to this game more than most at the moment.
