Laurence Fox

but didn’t tweet 4 weeks ago when a white football coach was charged with assaulting and raving 4 women? Where was his outrage then? If he had then he would have had a valid point.

You could say the same about the whole of the corporate media and establishment left, they basically cheered on the destruction of black communities and businesses when a black career criminal was killed in what can best be described as bad policing, but Tony Timpa (a white man) was killed in the same way (in fact probably worse because the police involved were laughing and joking) only a few years earlier and it hardly got a mention. They only cared about the George Floyd incident because it fit their narrative of white on black racism and their wall to wall coverage of it is probably what instigated the riots.

If professional 'journalists' and the corporate media industry as a whole are allowed to pick and choose what to cover based on their ideological slant then why is L. Fox held to a higher standard?

Dear lord, it’s not a hard link. Footballer playing in the PL for one of the biggest clubs in the world accused of rape vs a nobody coach. I haven’t noticed much media around football coaches kneeling for Black Lives Matter either but perhaps I have missed that.

This bizarre false equivalence is really odd. Why is every person killed unlawfully by a cop in the US not cause for rioting and a worldwide movement. I assume they don’t have a valid point because they don’t treat every vaguely similar death the same as George Floyd.

I don’t doubt that part of the reason Fox did this was because it would froth the usual crowd up but ultimately he is not being racist here. He’s just making a ****** point.

Joey Barton isn’t a nobody, he spent a decade playing in the Premier League and was never far from the papers (usually for the wrong reasons).

I’d say non football fans are more likely to know who Barton is than Mendy.

Weird he wrote this a few days after the second series of his ex wife's show dropped, depicting matter of fact abortion, and got rave reviews....

In a much more conventional show, Suzie’s unwanted pregnancy would provide an easy way to propel the narrative. A woman pregnant with her ex’s baby is a classic conflict—but I Hate Suzie is inspiringly subversive, unmoored by these traditional TV storytelling expectations. Hardly 15 minutes into the season, we watch Suzie take a pill to induce an at-home abortion. She wears and removes bloody sanitary pads as she spends untold time on the toilet. She cries silently in the bathtub afterward. She is alone, completely.

I don't know why he is on GB News and promoted as much as he is.

He's a pound shop Farage. A leader who leads no where.

GB News needs to fire him off completely. Because he'll get the channel banned for sure.

At first he was a bit of a good guy bad guy, take him or leave him type of who cares really.

But as time goes on he gets more and more unlikeable to the point he is now a bell end.

Establishment reactionaries wont stop digging because they know there's a billionaire out there willing to front them the cash to be their little piggy.

Because of the way he said it, his point will be completely missed.

It's always (at least in this country) been about how you say things not just the words that are said. You can understand a lot from the tone and body language in these discussions which is why Dan Wootton comes out of it looking awful as well despite his apology.

Otherwise, we could just have Microsoft Sam reading everything out for us.

Women can't disregard men's issues in this way and expect men to want to support them, or vote for them. It works both ways.
I do agree. I think it's outrageous that there is a Minister for Women but the suggestion of bringing equality with a Minister for Men results in it being dismissed as "feeding into the culture war". Let's either have Ministers for each or get rid of the Minister for Women to bring equality. My preference would be to have a minister for each.
