Well there can't be a grading system for property damage can there?

Lets say someone intends on blowing up half the M25 but they've warned everyone beforehand, that's a state killing event right there and every time the police ignores similar, smaller in scope threats that turn out to be genuine after the fact they inadvertently make such things more likely to occur because the consequences aren't being taken seriously.

The guy is a bit of a helmet but police raiding his house is ridiculous. Just adds fuel to the fire, get on with helping people who are constantly ignored by police due to "not having the time or numbers"

Do thieves and burglar typically say they're going to do it in a public setting beforehand?

You're literally saying the police should not investigate a threat.

If they did the police might just do their job in relation to burglaries, because they don't currently :p
Pfft they protect the elites that wont change.

Protect your own property by not being so easy to steal from because even if the police do start showing up the reality is that they can't stop it from happening in the first place.

Police look for easy wins. If you post of a video online, saying you’re going to commit a crime and encouraging other people to commit crime, what do you expect to happen?

I’m not saying I agree with it but the people pre-arrested before William & Kate’s wedding in 2011 took their case all the way to the ECHR and lost. He must have known what would happen.

Of course.

But where do you draw the line?
If Farage runs for election in your constituency, and is door knocking on the roads nearby your house.

Then you type on here that if he knocks on your door you might egg him.

The next day 6 cops turn up at your house banging on your front door to be let in to search your house and to arrest you.

Do you think that action is proportionate?

No but if you were to say that you will assault him and encourage everyone else to join you in assaulting him, then yes, maybe 6 police and searching the house is OTT still.

Especially when someones house down the road is burgled yet are told there isn't enough officers to attend.

The key problem here is the past tense of being burgled versus the future tense of 'I'm going to commit a crime'.

What are the police going to do with all these burglars? There's no space in prison for them so I guess it's just performative?

I think he’s a bit of a jerk but arresting him for saying that ULEZ cameras should be torn down or saying that he encourages others to do that, is ridiculous and embarrassing for our country.

Very disproportionate and silly.

He told host Maajid Nawaz: “I encourage them to tear down every single camera there is.

I will be joining them to tear down cameras as well. Because I’m one of those people who puts my money where my mouth is.

I will be out there with an angle grinder.”

He added: “I would be happy to be arrested myself.”
Seems a little more than mere encouragement.

Whatever it is, it’s wildly below what I think warrants any involvement from the police, let alone a house raid :o

Literally, it’s somebody talking about knocking down some cameras in an angry protest.

A regime that it seeks to sanction people that talk about their desire to commit mild civil disobedience… is pretty much begging for said civil disobedience, IMO.

It's sought to do that for decades whilst nobody cared to stop them because muh terrorists, now it's institutional.

By definition what he did was terrorism.
