Laurence Fox

It is disgusting how the police act in this country.

Or don't act you mean. Burglaries from shops and homes seemingly go completely ignored yet heavens above you slightly more than wisper that the Home Secretary is potentially saying something Xeonphobic and you're hauled out of a Tory conference by Police faster than you can say incompetance.

There are laws in this country, it's about damn time the Police started enforcing and investigating crimes against them (not the latest ones the Government has put in place regarding protest, those should and can be roundly villified).

I don't know, presumably they were searching for devices he made threats on in the first place

That's why I said potential.
Oh so he makes a stupid comment less than 24 hours earlier and the correct and proper response is to send half a dozen rozzers round? If only they treated actual crimes half as diligently eh, misgender someone or talk about nicking ulez cameras and you've got a bunch of armed police at your door (just for clarification Vincent the armed police comment is an exaggeration for effect. Which you seem fine with if its police)

I would say the judicial system needs fixing first. It must be really deflating to be a police officer in this country when you arrest and have a pretty solid case against a criminal who the courts just give a slap on the wrist and they go out and commit the same crimes over and over.

It's probably gotten to the point where they think why bother, the courts are only going to let them off.

If you have something stolen the police don't turn up.

Shoplifting is in reality decriminalised if its under £200. But again the police claim they don't have enough resources.

But suddenly they can react to someone making speculative comments on a podcast with 24 hours.

This country is going to the crapper. Some people are addicted to carrots and they can't see the big picture at all.

He made the threat, yes?

Taking that to it's logical conclusion - If someone threatens to murder, should police wait until they do it?

Yes.

There's a difference between 'flippant' remark and an actual deep, discussed, full on planned conspiracy to carry out a crime.

Edit: to put it another way, either you take the likes of L.Fox seriously or the joke that they clearly are.

I've got a friend who is quite high up in the Police that is taking early retirement because he can't stomach the political interference in prosecutions & target offences anymore :(

Oh this is Hilarious. I looked him up on IMDB and found he’s only made ONE film since 2020. And it’s a doozy!

Gina Carano is in it too! What an awful looking film! Apparently bankrolled by Breitbart too!:cry::cry:
I started watching this because I heard so much about it, it's awful. I made it 15 minutes in and just turned it off

I honestly think you get what you deserve, you can't directly say you will be doing something illegal on such a public forum, that would have no doubt had a lot of haters instantly reporting him, which is probably why the Police would have to jump on it..

But then on the flip side, that many? Not sure I'd have considered it that credible in terms of it not just being a load of hot air and certainly a couple of officers seems more than sufficient, but these days a lot of non-crime hate crimes are reported by officers themselves, so they may be too fragile to deal with him without massive numbers..

It's a joke rooted in the findings of a report in 2021 when the Police were accused of grossly putting all their resource in to prosecuting hate crimes against police vs hate crimes on the general public.. something like 10% of all hate crimes (including non-hate crimes) are reported by officers of which around 45% lead to prosecution vs the a tiny percentage of hate crimes on the public lead to prosecution or something along those lines..

Source (BBC)[edit] For exact numbers:
Just 7% of the 4,636 hate crimes recorded by West Midlands Police in the year ending March 2020 involved a police victim.
But the police were victims in 43% of the 711 hate crimes charged in the force area that year.

Original source from me was Twitter, it blew up over that report about hate crimes and people started taking the mickey when they found some very trivial non-crime hate crimes made by police officers which insinuated if that triggered them, they'd not be able to do their job..
