i too can benchmark at 2560x1600, 480 sli, if you tell me what benchmarks to run, i did run the final fantasy 14 official benchmark yesterday, maybe that could be a test everyone could run. it only runs at 1920 though.

also i am going to a lan tomorrow and my m8 has the exact same mb/ cpu / overclock as me but he has a 5970 instead of 480's, i could run a test on his too if needed.

The FFXIV test currently has no multi GPU support.

Will try and do a few runs with some of the other games.

Problem is I don't own a lot of them.
Any of you SLI guys got a spare code for Just Cause 2?

Have you tried at 4xAA? I would like to know if minium frame rate can get over 25fps at 1920x1200, Very High, 4xAA. Also, has anyone got a 5870 that's overclocked to over 900MHz~1GHz and have a run at those settings?

Here are a few benchmarks I did for myself on the 480gtx. All benchmarks are at 1080p

Single gpu at the time was clocked to 875Mhz/2050Mhz. SLI only clocked to 825Mhz/2000Mhz as one card is currently on air as I am awaiting a new waterblock to arrive from EK. I am expecting both cards to hit 890Mhz when both under water (my first 480 which is underwater hits 890mhz), which is about a 10% increase in clock speeds. Single card was benched on released drivers. SLI has been benched on 258.96

Stone Giant all settings on max

Single 480

Crysis Warhead 16xAA all settings on max.

I will be redoing my benchmarks once I get my new EK block.

I'm getting very tempted by a GTX480 SLI setup, now they're down to ~£370 a piece. A single GTX480 would not be such a large step-up from my 4870x2, but SLI 480s almost seems like overkill... I'm at 2560*1600 resolution though (or I will be once my replacement power pack comes through for my hazro!), so maybe I will see some improvement. At that resolution I generally prefer to have no AA though (always seems like a 'cleaner' image), so I won't get the full benefit of all the horsepower.

I had a 4870X2 and going to a 480 was a nice jump in performance. Game play seemed smoother and once the 480 was overclocked the performance was jump was very noticeable especially when AA was applied. :)

Unfortunately my 4870X2 developed a fault so I no longer have one, which is a shame as I really liked it.
