As commentators said neither would have known each other was there.
Car front slows down for unknown reason you go for the inside line. He wouldn't of been able to see the Ferrari.

A little unfair tbh.

McNish was unsighted by his sister Audi car in front of him that had slowed. McNish went past to suddenly see a Ferrari alongside him and went for the inside line. The Ferrari driver hadn't spotted McNish diving down the inside as he was also unsighted by the sister Audi, which is why he turned in on McNish.

I'd just call it a racing incident, an unfortunate one but also very lucky in the fact no one seems to have been injured.

Hmmmmmm now isn't this Ironic....... Wasn't McNish a driver Steward at Monaco who said Hamilton was a bit aggressive?

However, I dont think its completely Alan's fault as the Ferrari was so god dammm slow. Id agree above, id put it down to a racing indecent.

It just proves when you're in the car and you see a gap then racing driver instincts kick in.

...and the moment they don't is when you stop racing.

idiot.........its anoying becuase Audi spend millions developing the car over few years preparing the car for the event of the year, then after an hour some angry scottish bloke bin's it.......just anoy's me and just think of the poor mechanics working day in, day out......

Kerming - It was a racing incident. If drivers didn't go for opportunities like that then they shouldn't be in the race.

For sure it's a 24 hour race but the drivers are pushing the car to the limit every lap. You don't win races by taking it easy ;)
