Le Mans 24 hours

Missed the first few hours. Good to see you lot are watching and have posted up the highlights.

Sorry folks, I disagree about McNish. That's not the way you drive at Le Mans. To win the race, first you've got to finish the race. That was really foolish driving.

I'm sure on reflection McNish regrets making the move but as Housey and many others have said, when you're in the driving seat and you have to make a decision in the blink of an eye things don't always work out.
Dario Franchitti
The closing speed was massive, not @AllanMcNish Fault at all....
I can only agree, the speed difference between the prototypes and the GT's is massive.

Nice to see someone got the ACTUAL point I was making.

Lemans isn't the sort of race where you try to sneak past a team mate when you see a gap appearing next to a slower car. Passing on the Dunlop esses is also a massive risk because it's a tricky set of curves. When it's congested like that, it's race suicide. I would say (purely from years of going to Le Mans) that Audi aren't very happy with McNish, especially when Peugeot are out to get them even harder than ever.

Amazing to see McNish just walk out of that one. For some reason I didn't know he was team mating with Tom Kristensen. Audi are DEFINITELY not going to be happy :D

I have beer. I have RLM and it's going to be a long night. Anyone else on for the long haul tonight?

Diesel needs to be banned from Le Mans, not for the performance advantage it gives, but just becuse they sound dreadful and Le Mans cars should give aural pleasure.

See Mazda 787b

I'll keep watching for a few hours.

Can't stay up too long though, got to do some shopping with a friend in the morning before we go for a 4 hour bike ride in afternoon. After that, F1 :D
