*** League of Legends ***

I should be on later with Gober and maybe Random if you are up for a game

** If you are ever looking to join us just hop on vent, after 9 we are always on and before then we are on when we want to play **

Well i warn you there's a good chance you might not be able to play. The server is currently VERY slow and the games don't seem to be starting most, if not all of the time. :(

Agreed :( Let's cross fingers they sort it out for later - I want to game :)

Twisted Treeline got released? Nice! Can't wait to try some 3v3. Back tomorrow and then long weekend so will be on quite a bit. Got a few champs I wanna try out - really need to pick one and stick with it though :)

Keyskills you have to purchase Urf - awesome skin for Warwick and currently 50gp lol. I brought it as it was so cheap :)

Some good games tonight, once we got upto 5 players. 2, 5 man wins then 3man win all in a row. Me and lab managed to win TT without losing any turrents, and having good kill/death rates!.

Tips for TT 3 man games.
- Jungle Jungle Jungle, if you just farm creeps you will be an easy target for ganks.
- Defend turrents/kill creep buildups when you pass by.
- Jungle and Gank other team as a group, try to never solo or be too far away from your team, else you get ganked yourself.
- Kill Dragon every time it spawns, 2 people can kill it in 20-30 sec once they level 7+.

Managed to make more gold in this 30 min game then both the 50+ min 5 man games because of jungling and ganking, had my char kitted out with all the nifty gear by the end :)

Up late cause i was finishing some work not been on LoL all night lol.

Good tips re TT, those last 2 games we played had to be the best most equal games I have yet played - absolutely fantastic experiences :)

I've updated the OP with Noxy's pro video - worth a look at if no one has seen or if people want to get an idea what the game is really like. In addition put this link on OP as well http://leaguecraft.com/champions/ did you know it has a char builder!!!!

Wow just had what must have been the best LoL game we've played. Ryze on the other team was owning us bad. Joop at Shaco started just nudging the other sides towers down and with their cockiness we slowly started to make inroads into them. Fantastic team play and again another win for team jonah's :)

Heim's turret heal is also not to be underestimated.

Played this for the past few days. Finding it a bit hit and miss, not knowing the characters and their abilities ( more of what I'm up against rather than the char I'm playing).

Won 6, lost 7 currently.

The matchmaking is both good and bad, sometimes I sit for literally 10 minutes, with it trying to find me a game, other times I'm straight in. Bit of a pain when people keep dropping from the char select, which dumps you back in the queue too.

Seems a bit weird the pool of chars you can select from keeps changing too. I like the idea though!

Liking it so far, seems a far less elitist community to what was present in HoN. You get the whining calling team members noobs when we're getting battered, but I tend to expect that:D

If you haven't watched the pro tips (video in original post) they are worth a look as they go into how some of the characters work and countering them. Items I always find tough. I tend to go Ashe or Alistair at the moment who are both straight forward so Ashe is Damage/Attach Speed and Crit - recommended items are pretty spot on. alistair is just a plain tank - lots of health and armour etc. For movement Mercury treads are good if you're getting magic stuns. Banshees Veil is a good one if their is a specific spell causing issues - in the game I posted above yours Ryze was causing a huge amount of issue but the belief was that was all he understood so we all got Banshees Veil and suddenly their biggest hitter was muted - that particular item is very useful as a backup!

If you ever join us quite a few of the players are pretty good players and understand the mechanics so will advise as you are playing. Original Post again has the details.

Last night I wasn't too happy with the matchmaking or my lack of skill after 8 straight defeats however all it takes is one close fought victory and I'm loving the game again :)

This time I was determined to try for a balanced team rather than just picking a champ I know so as no one went tank I picked Rammus (who I'd never tried before). The result was I got first blood, was able to lane very effectively with Ryze, defend our towers when we had our backs against the wall in the mid game and initiate and soak up damage in the late game teamfights that lead to the winning push. Very satisfying.

It was also nice to play against people my own level rather than the 20-30 bracket that matchmaking throws our premades up against

Will be on for a game this evening around 9.

It is weird - we had 2 days of straight defeats and then suddenly it turned around to have 3 really fantastic victories. Interestingly the last game which I would place as one of my favourite games ever one of the opposition said bad game. Now win or loose it would have been a memorable game - winning is not everything as long as the team works together and the actual game is fun. That said the game we had to win - I hate smack talk at the best of times and no way were they going to beat us :)

Re the champion, yes it is critical to ensure a balanced team. Hence I have two heroes Ash for the range and Alistair for the tank. The tank is needed to soak up the damage but can be frustrating as generally they are harder to pull the kills off.

I would get some armor pen runes too, not just critsical chance. Need atleast enoth armor pen to beat everyones default armor level 18 (with no extra armor items) IMO.
